Extended Summary

Tane comes back from a swim and finds Felicity sitting on his towel. She feigns ignorance and also denies sending him the rose, saying she’s not the type. Tane continues to insist that it’s over between them and she needs to stay away. Back at the Morgan house, Theo tells Leah and a sceptical Justin that Dimitri forced him to work at the car dealership with him, resulting in them having a falling out, and he’s been sleeping in his car for three days. Leah lets him eat the breakfast Justin has prepared. Justin pulls Leah into the bedroom for a chat. He doesn’t think they should get involved. Leah thinks they’ve no choice and says she’ll call Dimitri.

Ziggy is pacing on her own outside the farm house. Mackenzie draws up in a new car. Ziggy notes it’s not a porsche but Mackenzie says it saves her taxi fares. Ziggy accuses Mackenzie of checking up on her and says there’s nothing to worry about. Mackenzie says she wasn’t worried but is now. Ziggy apologises and sends Mackenzie inside, warning Dean might not be in a good mood, before going to check the mail box. Mackenzie finds Dean struggling to reach a glass of water on the table. Dean thinks Ziggy called her and admits he’s been sleeping on the couch because it’s easier than getting in and out of bed.

Felicity is signing up with Jasmine at the gym, while eyeing up Tane getting equipment together nearby. After Jasmine has gone, Felicity approaches Tane and tells him she’s now a member, insisting she works out. Tane doesn’t want her hassling him there. Felicity says she’s there for a boot camp. Tane says he’s running it, which it says on the timetable, and gets her to leave. Meanwhile, Mackenzie brings Dean a snack. She comments on Jai’s latest cards. Dean says he doesn’t want to talk to Jai. Mackenzie realises he’s been on the couch for days and he admits it’s too painful to move. Mackenzie insists on helping him to the shower.

Theo finishes the breakfast and leaves Justin (who he calls Jason) to clean up. Justin stops him taking a beer. Leah comes back in and says Dimitri told her that Theo was selling fake insurance to customers and pocketing the cash. Theo insists it was the other guys doing it and Dimitri didn’t believe him because they’ve worked there for years. Leah gives him a hug and agrees to him staying; Justin looks exasperated. At Salt, Felicity complains to Jasmine about Tane’s behaviour. Cash arrives and jokingly asks Jasmine if Felicity is harassing her. Felicity says he needs to get some new jokes. They send her away so they can chat.

Mackenzie meets Ziggy outside the house and asks why she didn’t say how bad Dean was. Ziggy was worried that Mackenzie would say “I told you so”. Mackenzie tells her she needs a proper break and to go into town. Inside, Dean is struggling down the hallway. When Mackenzie comes back in, Dean says he doesn’t want Ziggy to see him like this and he can’t go any further. Mackenzie helps him sit down and says he shouldn’t be like this with his painkillers. Dean admits he’s not taking them but refuses to discuss it.

At the Diner, John tries to get Alf to sign his petition. Justin, Leah and Theo come in and Leah introduces Theo to Alf, with Theo saying he’s heard Alf runs the town. Alf leaves and Theo happily signs John’s petition, but when he hears John’s name, he says he’s the reason Leah nearly lost $90,000 and starts having a go. Justin steps in and tells him to cut it out. Theo storms out. Leah has a go at Justin and goes after Theo, telling him he was out of line and John’s a friend. Theo says she doesn’t know anything about him or his dad and drives off.

Ziggy is stood by the beach, staring out at the waves but making no move to approach them. Tane comes up behind her and seems to consider saying something but leaves without Ziggy noticing him. Back at the farm house, Mackenzie asks Dean if Ziggy’s going to be able to handle his pain, saying Ziggy invited him to move in because she loves him. Dean says he wants to be the guy she fell in love with and can’t lose her. Mackenzie offers to get him into the rehab hospital but he refuses. He says he’ll see Mackenzie later, basically dismissing her. Mackenzie meets up with Ziggy, who is unloading groceries outside. Ziggy says she’s tried to get Dean to take his painkillers. Mackenzie offers to stay the night but Ziggy says she’s got it.

Felicity arrives at Salt and finds Tane at the bar. She insists she’s not there for him but to have dinner with her brother, before sitting with Cash and Jasmine, saying she doesn’t want Tane to think she’s spying on him. Jasmine pours her a glass of wine. Mackenzie sits with Tane and shares his drink, saying the next round’s on her. Felicity looks unhappy at their friendliness. Mackenzie tells Tane that Dean’s not in good shape. At the farm house, Ziggy suggests Dean go outside tomorrow. Dean retorts that he can barely get off the couch and refuses to let Ziggy get him anything for his pain. Ziggy retreats to the hall, looking upset.

At the Diner, Leah tells Justin and John that she couldn’t find Theo and his bag’s gone. Justin suggests maybe he’s gone back to Dimitri but Leah is worried about something happening to him. Meanwhile, Mackenzie and Tane are having a drink on the balcony. Tane says he’s trying to move on and needs some time for himself. Mackenzie gets a call from Ziggy, who is outside the farm house. She says she can’t do this and has to get out.
