Peter hunts for the attempted arsonist in the wake of the attack on the resort office. The tension between Kim and Tasha reaches boiling point, and prompts Tasha to make a stunning decision. Dan discovers the truth about Leah’s deception.
Extended Summary
Josie’s shaken by the Molotov cocktail attack. Peter wants to know who has a grudge against her. Josie thinks of Tasha, but doesn’t say anything. She makes a secret phone call to her mystery friend and asks to take things quicker, but she’s told she can’t. What is she hiding?
Jesse emerges from a couple of days in hibernation and Alf tries to talk to him about the business but is given the cold shoulder. Jesse asks Morag about the investigation of Josie and Macklin Corp and she reminds him to stay out of it. Jesse notices Martha’s coldness towards him. Why should he feel bad when she said it was only a rebound thing? Morag and Alf lay into him for his attitude to Martha. Jesse walks out on them. Peter questions him about the Molotov cocktail. Jesse says her was with Leah. Jesse asks Leah to cover for him. Leah’s outraged, but torn. Dan says she’s wasting too much energy on Jesse.
Irene is upset that Beth won’t even hear her apology for the way she reacted to her and Hyde being together. Hyde can understand Beth’s point of view, which gets Irene’s goat. He also supports Kim, while Irene agrees with Tasha. Tension. Hyde tries to talk with Beth about listening to Irene, but Beth thinks it’s too late.
Tasha accuses Kim of being a traitor for working for the resort. Kim can’t believe Tasha would judge him over doing the best for his baby. Tasha’s upset that Kim’s job got Irene and Hyde fighting as well. Josie apologises for her attack on Tasha, but wants to know if she was responsible for the Molotov attack. Tasha is outraged she would even think it. She stomps off and has another argument with Kim. Kim storms out and finds Josie crying at the resort. He feels sorry for her. The two of them are being alienated by the town. Tasha decides if Kim’s at the Beach house, she can’t stay. She moves in to Robbie’s.
Peter arrives to question Jesse. Leah didn’t give him the alibi he wanted. Dan finds out Leah lied for Jesse before as well. He walks out. Jesse denies involvement with the Molotov incident. He allows police to search the Club.
Leah tries to explain everything to Dan when he comes home, but he won‘t listen to her. Peter tells them he can’t charge Jesse because they found nothing. But over at the Surf Club, Jesse hides the makings of the Molotov cocktail in a box in the storeroom of the Club. He was the culprit after all!
