Bree and Remi bask in their love bubble. Gary warms Felicity’s cold feet. Eden goes on the attack for Remi.

Extended Summary

Eden sees Remi outside the house and jokingly pretends to phone the police to say there’s a stranger in her house. She tells him that he’s lucky that Kirby has been spending all her time at Theo’s or she’d be wondering where he is. All Remi hears though is that Kirby won’t be there tonight. Eden says she’ll be there on her own but Remi tells her she’s going out, since he’s fed up of being cooped up in a motel with Bree.

Cash asks Felicity to explain, saying he thought she was on board with the wedding now. Felicity says she loves Tane, it’s just all the rest of it. Cash tries to convince her that she has time to get her head around it but Felicity points out there’s a date on the invites. Cash reminds her she was happy when the invite photos were taken and suggests she’s just overwhelmed. Tane and Gary arrive home and Cash tells them about the invites, although Felicity has a hard time looking pleased.

Outside the caravan park house, Marilyn suggests they have prizes for best hair and shoes. Alf says it’s not the Melbourne Cup and realises she’s never been near a golf course. Roo comes over and says the golf club have given them the back nine (she has to explain to Marilyn that that’s half the course). However, the only date they had available was in two weeks, so she took it. Alf worries if they’ll be able to organise everything by then but Marilyn and Roo are confident.

Gary asks Tane if he has much family around apart from Nikau. Tane says most of them are in New Zealand and the whanau (which Gary translate as family) are looking forward to welcoming Felicity. Cash tries to make small talk with Gary about Lyrik but Tane picks up on Felicity’s mood and takes her outside for a talk. Cash admits to Gary that she’s anxious about the wedding.

Tane asks Felicity what’s going on. Felicity says it’s just been a big day, then asks him not to freak out: She says she had a moment when the invitations arrived and it hit her that the wedding was in a month and they still have so much to do. She suggests making up with Gary took it out of her. Tane tells her about Gary’s offer to pay for the wedding. He explains refusing to accept until he’d spoken to her but doesn’t think it would be a bad thing. Felicity says she was awful to him. Tane thinks it would make him happy.

Remi is tidying up the house prior to Bree’s visit. Eden suggests he should do that every day, not just when his girlfriend’s coming over. Remi says not to call her that. Eden agrees, since she’s taken. Remi tells her to stay out of it but Eden reminds him Bree is married to an abusive husband, just as Bree arrives. Bree wonders if she should go. Remi says Eden is just going and Eden says she doesn’t want to witness the train wreck.

Gary tells Tane he’s happy to stay another night at the hotel but Tane insists the family stay together and Felicity agrees. Cash notices Eden loitering outside her house. Felicity explains to Gary who Eden is and goes over, suggesting Eden join them. Eden says it’s okay. Cash says she’s more than welcome and convinces her to come over. Meanwhile, Remi is telling Bree not to worry about Eden. Bree is worried that Eden knows about them. Remi promises she’s safe there and it’s just the two of them. He pulls her to her feet and they kiss.

Felicity tells Tane she’ll set up the spare room for Gary. Tane tells Gary that Felicity is thinking about his offer. Cash quietly asks Eden about the fact that Bree’s car is in the street and notes that if he hadn’t invited her in, John would have done. Felicity returns and Cash says she’s being a princess over the wedding dresses. Eden says all the choices were terrible. Gary quietly asks Cash if he and Eden are a thing. Cash says they’re just friends.

Remi and Bree are in bed. Bree asks him to play her something. Remi prefers to stay where he is, so Bree pulls a shirt on and picks up the guitar, strumming it discordantly. Remi says to hand it to him and plays a gentle tune. Bree sits next to him and he shows her how to play a simple chord.

Gary finds Felicity sat outside during the night, saying he heard the back door open and guessed it was her. Felicity tries to refuse his offer of money but Gary’s more interested in talking about her cold feet. He says that the day her parents were married, Kath spent the morning talking her mother out of running off but it turned out to be one of the best days of their lives.

Next morning, Alf and Marilyn are chatting outside the house again. Marilyn manages to know that golf is played with a club, not a bat. Alf points out there are actually fourteen different clubs. Roo asks if either of them are going to help her but they say they have to go into work. Roo tells Marilyn to sign people up for the tournament.

Bree and Remi emerge from the bedroom but are pulled up short by the sight of Eden eating breakfast. Bree says she’ll go for a surf and considers coming back afterwards. She gets a call from Jacob and rejects it. She asks Eden not to tell anyone and Eden rather sullenly says her lips are sealed. Remi tells her not to say anything. Eden, not particularly convincingly, says she’s not judging. Remi goes into the bathroom and looks pensively in the mirror.

Gary is preparing to leave and Felicity says she has to get something, rushing back inside. Cash quietly tells Tane about fixing up the ute as a surprise. Felicity comes running out with a wedding invite for Gary. She hugs him and thanks him for last night, before saying she’d love to accept the money. Gary says he’ll see them all in a few weeks.

Eden finds Remi playing guitar outside the house. She realises it’s the one he bought with the money from their first paid gig, which took up space on tour. Remi says it’s great to learn on and Eden realises he means Bree. She tells him it’s an affair, not a great love story. Remi says he can’t help it and Eden realises he’s falling in love with her. Remi goes back inside and ties a bow around the guitar.

At the surf club, Bree is on the phone to Jacob, saying she’s looking at houses but hasn’t found one that’s right yet. She says she loves him. Eden is standing nearby and asks Bree if Remi knows she’s house hunting. She says she understands Bree needing an escape but asks how many Remis there have been. Bree tells her to go to hell.
