Eden bursts Remi’s love bubble. John finds his star golfer. Theo takes out his frustration on Kirby.

Extended Summary

Theo and Kirby have just finished a swim. Kirby says they have a band meeting scheduled for later but nothing planned until then. Theo looks forward to spending a day together. Kirby reminds him he has an assignment due but Theo says it’s not due until next week and he’s on top of it, even though he hasn’t started. Meanwhile, Eden chases Bree from the surf club and apologises. Bree says there’s never been anyone like Remi and she’s never been tempted to stray before. Eden warns her that Remi is falling for her and encourages her to end it. Bree isn’t sure if she can. Eden says she can’t see a happy ending.

At the Diner, Marilyn is telling a couple about the golf tournament, observed by Alf and Irene. Marilyn admits to Irene that no-one has actually signed up yet. John comes in and hears part of the conversation, becoming the first person to sign up. He asks how many people he needs on his team and Marilyn says he needs two others. Alf quickly shuts him down. John observes Alf doesn’t have the right temperament and looks at Irene, who gives an emphatic no. Meanwhile, Bree turns up at the Lyrik house and asks if the coast is clear. Remi leads her into his bedroom and shows her the guitar he’s giving her. Bree isn’t sure about taking it but Remi assures her it’s hers and says he knows a great teacher.

At the surf club, Theo wins a game of pool against Kirby and says she can keep the money they bet so long as she buys him a juice with it. John chimes in to tell them about the golf tournament. Theo says he and his friends used to break into a driving range after hours and he has a handicap of six. John says that’s very good and Theo’s on his team. He asks Kirby if she has experience and Kirby says only mini golf. Theo says he’ll play on one condition.

Bree continues to practice chords with Remi but stops and asks him where he thinks things are going. She says she’ll break up with Jacob eventually but it’ll take time. Remi realises that Eden spoke to her. Bree leaves. Remi follows her out to the car but Bree doesn’t want to talk, especially with Eden having just arrived. She asks Remi not to make a scene and drives off. Remi is angry with Eden, who tells him Bree was only talking to Jacob an hour ago, arranging to rent somewhere. Remi says she has to keep up the act. Bree thinks he needs to face reality.

John chases Theo and Kirby from the surf club and agrees to a free juice after every practice and Kirby being on the team. Kirby asks if she needs to bring her own sticks and John says they’ll called clubs. Kirby says she’s good at pool and this can’t be much different. She announces she’s going to get ready for the band meeting and advises Theo to start on his assignment, since they’ll be rehearsing all next week.

Eden tells Remi there’s only three options: Jacob disappears so Remi and Bree can live happily ever after; Remi realises the relationship isn’t as perfect as he thinks; and Bree goes back to Jacob. She reminds him how Jacob reacted to Remi texting Bree, so wonders how he’ll react to Remi sleeping with her and how things are going to play out when he gets back. They are interrupted by Kirby. Remi says nothing’s going on and Eden leaves.

At the Diner, Theo orders a large amount of food for his study. Marilyn tries to get him to sign up for the fundraiser. Irene doesn’t think he’d be interested in golf but Theo explains he’s already vice-captain of John’s team. Marilyn asks what an albatross is and Theo says it’s making a hole three under par, before asking technical questions about the tournament. Marilyn suggests he come back to hers to explain things to her and Theo happily agrees, despite Irene reminding him about his studying.

Kirby finds Remi strumming a tune in his room and notes it’s melancholy for him. She asks what’s going on between him and Eden and notes he’s been home even less than her, guessing he’s seeing someone. She says he usually brags about girls so this one must be different. Remi refuses to talk about it. Meanwhile, Eden finds Bree by the beach and says she comes in peace. She apologises for interfering and says she’s never seen Remi like this before and he really cares about Bree. Bree says she cares about him too. Eden encourages her to go and see Remi, saying she makes him happy.

Alf finds Marilyn and Theo engaged in an in-depth discussion. He asks Theo about his apprenticeship and Theo admits he hasn’t had much time lately, telling Marilyn he also need to get to band meeting. Marilyn asks him what sort of tournament he thinks they should have. Theo’s alarm goes off but Marilyn keeps him to ask about trophies. Meanwhile, Bree approaches Remi outside the house and apologises for running out on him, saying Eden really cares about him. She admits she isn’t sure where this is going but asks for another guitar lesson. Remi complies.

Kirby and Eden are waiting at Salt. Kirby says Theo should be there by now and Eden admits Remi isn’t coming. Kirby tries to ask about Remi’s new woman but Eden says she can’t say anything. Theo arrives, somewhat flustered about how much he has to do. He gets a text from Justin saying he’s needed to receive a part at the garage and asks if they can do the meeting without him. Kirby agrees and Eden comments on it being girls only.

Theo runs into John outside and John gives him a schedule for golf practice, asking what days he’s free. Theo checks his phone and is horrified to learn that his assignment is due tomorrow, not next week. John says that’s why he uses a paper calendar. Theo snaps, saying he doesn’t care about the tournament. Later, Kirby comes down from Salt and uses the phrase “tee off” to John, but admits she’s just googled some golf phrases. She notes she got in trouble with a windmill playing mini golf and John confirms there won’t be any of those, before telling her about his run-in with Theo.

At the garage, Theo is on the phone to Ziggy, asking her to come in and accept the part for him. Kirby turns up with sustenance but Theo is stressed, saying he’s going to fail and has started the assignment too late. Kirby reminds him she told him to do it. Theo snaps that he’s started it like she wanted him to and asks her to leave him in peace.
