Extended Summary

Justin and Theo arrive home from a surf. Justin says that he’ll be busy at the garage all day without Ziggy there. He asks Theo if he’ll be free to join him but Theo says he has TAFE work to do. Justin tells him he’ll have the house to himself. At the band’s house, Remi and Eden are arguing about the set order: Remi thinks they should reverse the last three songs while Eden insists they can’t end with a ballad. Kirby gets a text from Theo saying he has the house to himself so she claims she has to go and buy a new synth as a back-up. Eden says she has to go to Salt to set up for the gig and tells Remi that the set list stays as it is.

Eden meets up with Nikau near the surf club and asks him about Felicity. Nikau says he hasn’t spoken to her but she’s gone into work. Eden asks him about whether he’s going to the gig and also about his court case. Heather overhears this and approaches Nikau, asking him if the band’s any good and if he’s going to the gig. Aware that Eden’s still in earshot, Nikau says they’re all right, before saying they’re great. Heather hopes she’ll see him there and they trade introductions.

Up in Salt, Felicity tells Mackenzie she tried doing the rosters last night but hasn’t put them on the system. Mackenzie says she’ll do it and Felicity says she’ll do the stock check. Eden appears and notes she got a barrage of texts from Felicity at 3am. Felicity says she can’t sleep: When she’s with Cash, she thinks about everything she has to do at work, and when she’s at work, she thinks about him. He’s starting counselling this morning and Felicity hopes he’ll stick with it. Mackenzie asks to have a talk with Felicity once she’s finished the stock check.

Kirby arrives at the Morgan house and tells Theo they need to talk about ground rules for the gig so Eden and Remi don’t find out: No lingering looks on stage, no brushing hands and no kissing…as they do all of those things now. At the Diner, Alf and Roo are chatting about how well her first session with Heather went. Heather arrives and shoots Marilyn a scornful look which Marilyn sees, before sitting with Alf and Roo. Alf leaves them to it. Marilyn serves Justin, who says a client cancelled so he’s taking Theo lunch.

Theo and Kirby are in the kitchen half-dressed and eating strawberries. Justin comes home and quickly takes in the scene, saying Theo’s studying hard. At Salt, Felicity apologies for not being there much. Mackenzie understands and wonders if Felicity should maybe take time off so she can focus on Cash. Since Eden’s going to be doing away gigs soon, Mackenzie suggests hiring someone to cover for Felicity. Felicity doesn’t want to not pull her weight at the restaurant. Mackenzie says she went through the same thing with Dean and encourages Felicity to think about it.

Theo and then Kirby rejoin Justin after getting dressed. They explain that there are rules about not dating bandmembers, so Eden and Remi can’t find out. They tell Justin he can’t tell anyone, including Leah. Justin agrees. Back at the band house, Eden wonders why Kirby hasn’t come back yet. Remi says she takes less time to get presentable than Eden does. Kirby arrives back and reacts awkwardly when Eden asks if Theo’s with her, saying he’s meeting them at Salt. Remi asks about the synth and she says she went to the wrong address and there was a gate and a dog. Eden comments on Remi sitting strumming his guitar while she moves the heavy gear.

Roo and Heather call an end to their session. Heather notes she’s searching for a rental; she’s subletting a room in a share house but the girl’s coming back. Roo tells her about the caravan park and asks Marilyn if anyone’s checking out. Marilyn says she’d have to ask Alf. Heather remarks she thinks she knows Marilyn from somewhere but Marilyn says she doesn’t think they’ve met. Outside the surf club, Kirby and Theo collect things from the van. Theo quickly bails on the others to chat to Justin.

Soon after, Lyrik are performing in Salt. Felicity thanks Mackenzie for her offer of help but thinks she can handle things, especially since Eden will be available to cover. Justin and Nikau run into each other at the bar. Heather arrives and orders a vodka on the rocks for herself and a beer for Nikau, asking if he’s there with anyone. Justin makes himself scarce.

Nikau and Heather go out onto the balcony. She notes she has a thing for bad boys and heard about him being in court, hoping it’s not for something lame like parking tickets. Nikau says he is going to be in court but it’s a misunderstanding. Heather explains about studying law, saying she just gets excited about court.

Inside, Lyrik finish their latest song and Theo calls for a short break. He joins Justin at the bar and Justin quietly tells him and Kirby that he’s surprised no-one has guessed about them. Eden tells them she’s got a text offering them a gig as support act for the Grassroots. Remi gives up on explaining who they are to Mackenzie. It’s only for a night but Mackenzie and Felicity look worried.

Outside the caravan park house, Roo tells Marilyn she thinks Heather will easily get onto the course. Marilyn admits Heather makes her uneasy. Alf comes up and says Van 7 have cut their stay short because of a family emergency. Roo realises that means there’ll be a van for Heather from tomorrow. She calls Heather, who says she has a place to stay for tonight. When Nikau comes back, Heather asks if he wants to go back in and listen to music or do something else. They leave together.

Packing up after the gig, Lyrik debate what songs to use for the support act gig. Mackenzie asks Felicity if she wants to wait and see if Eden can help out but Felicity tells her to advertise for help. Felicity gets a call from Cash. At the Parata house, Heather looks at a family photo and asks Nikau how they all got to be so good-looking. Nikau kisses her and they go to his room, kissing on the bed.
