Tane and Felicity prepare for their big day. Eden pushes Remi to be with Bree.
Extended Summary
Eden is relaxing by the pool behind the Parata house. Cash brings her a drink and Eden acknowledges that they need to keep their promise to Tane to sort out the wedding. However, she adds that they don’t have to do it yet and the pair start kissing. Shortly afterwards, inside the house, Tane finishes a phone call and tells Felicity that the good news is their marriage license is still valid. The not-so-good news is that their celebrant isn’t available, although he promises he can sort that. All they need are two witnesses.
Remi wonders why Bree didn’t tell him before and she admits the baby might not be his, saying she didn’t want him to know she’d slept with Jacob and felt like she cheated on him. Remi says she did what she had to do to survive. They are interrupted by a passionate Cash and Eden, and Bree quickly leaves. Remi goes after her and asks what he can do to help. Bree initially says nothing before collapsing sobbing into his arms.
Felicity leads Tane over to the Lyrik house and knocks on Eden’s bedroom door, saying she’s got five minutes before she comes in. Eden initially tries to put her off and claim Cash isn’t with her but the pair eventually emerge. They are told they’re fired as wedding planners. Cash and Eden claim they have plenty of ideas but can only offer “special archway thing”. Felicity and Tane explain they’re getting married tomorrow and want them as witnesses.
Remi walks Bree home and tells her he wouldn’t judge her. Bree suspects he has questions. Remi asks if she’s going to do a test to find out who the father is. Bree says it’s not going to be an issue: She’s not going ahead with the pregnancy and is booked in at the clinic tomorrow. Remi says it’s her choice and he’ll support her. This time they’re interrupted by Xander, who offers to share coffee and cake with them. Realising he’s walked in on something, he offers to eat in his room but Remi decides to leave, telling Bree to call him if she needs anything.
Cash and Eden are somewhat bewildered when Tane and Felicity tell them they don’t need to do anything and wouldn’t even be invited if witnesses weren’t needed: They’ll just turn up, do it and have a few drinks afterwards. Remi comes home and Felicity asks if Bree told him why she came round. Remi says she did, but doesn’t elaborate. He goes outside and Eden follows him. Remi tells her the whole story about the baby and says his main worry is that Bree had to deal with it on her own.
Back at the flat, Bree has filled in Xander. She apologises for not telling him and Xander says he’s glad she had Rose. Bree regrets hurting Remi, saying he’s been amazing. Xander says she’s incredible too and Jacob gave her no choice: He saw the grave that was dug for her. Back in Lyrik’s garden, Eden admits to Remi that she had a go at Bree about messing Remi around and feels bad about it now. She asks about the appointment and wonders if he’s going with her. Remi says Bree didn’t ask him to. Cash comes out and says they’re going to Salt now. Remi tells Eden to go.
Cash, Eden, Felicity and Tane share a toast at Salt. Cash discusses what happens after the ceremony and Felicity suggests having a party at Salt for the reception. Tane agrees. Cash doesn’t think they can let everyone know but Felicity says she’ll just send out a group text. She and Eden discuss having Lyrik play at the reception, with Felicity noting Remi was keen before. After the two women have gone to get more champagne, Cash warns Tane not to let himself get lost in Felicity’s freight train.
Cash and Eden arrive back at the Lyrik house. They once again enter the house in a clinch and once again get derailed by the fact Remi’s sitting in the front room. Remi says he’ll go to bed but Eden wants to talk to him first. She tells him about the wedding but he doesn’t feel he can play at the reception. Eden is fine with that and instead encourages him to offer to go with Bree, saying she’ll want a friend there to support her.
Tane and Felicity arrive back at the Parata house in a similarly passionate clinch. Felicity comments on them breaking tradition and spending the night before the wedding in the same bed. Tane says that this time he’s not letting her out of his sight until the wedding. Meanwhile, Remi goes round to see Bree, who has just shared dinner with Xander. Xander gives them some space. Remi makes his offer to go with her to the appointment and Bree says she’d like that.
During the night, Tane realises that Felicity isn’t in the bed next to him. He goes looking for her throughout the house and overhears her on the phone to Nikau, practising her vows in Maori for one last time. Next morning, Cash and Eden relax outside the Lyrik house. They have respectively got texts from Tane and Felicity. Eden notes the wedding couldn’t go worse than last time. Cash says the day wasn’t entirely bad since he was going to tell her how he felt about her and got a second chance.
Tane is at Salt, making a phone call to someone, with a large wooden box on his table. Cash turns up and Tane says he thought about what Cash said: The wedding’s going to be small but special as well. He stops Cash looking in the box and says he needs his help organising it.
