Felicity and Tane’s wedding day has arrived. Bree is grateful for Remi’s support. Has Cash made a life-long commitment to Eden?
Extended Summary
Theo and Kirby arrive back at the Lyrik house. Kirby wonders if Theo wants to head home but he says that he’ll check in with Leah but doesn’t fancy facing up to Ava yet. Eden appears and greets them. Remi passes them as he leaves and Eden admits he won’t be playing with them. Kirby is annoyed, since they cut their trip short to come back, but Eden says he’s dealing with stuff. Eden has to meet with Felicity so asks them to set up at Salt and sort out a song list for the three of them. At Salt, Cash says his goodbyes to Tane. Marilyn turns up with the wedding cake, saying she took extra care of this one (a reference Tane doesn’t understand). Tane invites her to join them later. Theo and Kirby arrive and start setting up.
Eden tells Felicity to stop throwing clothes in a pile without looking at them. Felicity tells Eden to pick one. Eden offers her two options and comments on how she looks good in anything. Felicity says Eden has the whole rock chick vibe. Eden finds an engagement ring in a box and Felicity admits Cash bought it for the girl he was seeing before her. She rejects the first dress she tries on.
Later, she is wearing the second dress. Eden tells her Tane’s with Cash and notes she’s looking like she’s going to lock herself in her room again. Felicity says this is the best decision of her life. Eden asks Felicity how she wants to look while walking towards Tane, which gives her an idea. Eden gets a phone call from Cash. At the Diner flat, Remi briefly chats to Xander before Bree joins them. Bree explains Xander knows and Xander says they can both call him if they need anything. Remi and Bree both check the other is okay with doing this. They head to the hospital where Bree heads off with a doctor, leaving Remi to wait.
Cash meets up with Eden, now wearing a fancy dress, outside the Parata house. Felicity emerges a moment later, wearing a strapless white dress. She suddenly remembers Cash isn’t supposed to be there. Cash says they’re not going to the beach and asks if she minds him walking her down the aisle, which she agrees to. He shows her into the back of the ute and hands Eden a phone, quietly telling her to press play when he says.
Cash and Felicity arrive out in the bush where a small Māori ceremony has been set up. Kai Karanga gives a ceremonial chant and Eden starts playing the traditional music: A trio of attendants are performing a dance and Tane is waiting with the celebrant, wearing a jacket-like robe. He and Cash touch foreheads and the celebrant prompts Felicity to make her vows. Felicity delivers the vows in Māori. Tane responds that he loves her and will spend the rest of his life making her as happy as she makes him. He explains the robe is a korowai and gives her one of her own, saying it contains the story of their whanau. The celebrant asks for the rings: Felicity isn’t sure if they have any but Cash hands them over. After they exchange their vows, the celebrant pronounces them forever united as husband and wife. They kiss, and Cash and Eden cheer before going over to congratulate them.
Remi has taken Bree back to the flat. He checks that she’s okay. Bree assures him she doesn’t have any regrets. Remi offers to organise some food but Bree says Xander will be back soon and reminds him he’s playing a gig at the wedding, encouraging him to go and be a good friend to Felicity and Tane. She kisses him before saying she’ll be okay.
At Salt, a number of photos have been set up, including ones of Gary, Chloe and Mia, Mikaere and Nikau, Gemma and Ari. Theo and Kirby have set up and are pleased to be joined by Remi. Cash and Eden arrive with the celebrant to give advanced warning and Eden is pleased to see Remi there. Cash announces the newlyweds as Tane and Felicity arrive. Felicity is delighted at the photos and Cash tells her that her husband set them up. Felicity says that sounds good and they dance as Lyrik start performing Someone Like You.
Later, Theo announces a break for the cake cutting and speeches. Tane takes Felicity onto the balcony but Felicity tells Cash to take down the private function sign and starts calling out to the people down below that they’re all invited to the party. Cash and Eden get the drinks in while Kirby sorts out the sign. Felicity proposes a toast to the best day of her life. Cash asks what her vows meant and Felicity says she said she loved Tane and he makes her feel safe. Tane says they’re heading to New Zealand for a week. Felicity goes to give instructions to the bar staff, pausing to hug Cash. Eden calls her high on life before reminding him the night is young and the booze is free.
Next morning, the Parata house is full of empty bottles and discarded clothes, with Cash and Eden in bed together. Cash slowly wakes up, blinking in the sunlight, and his eyes widen in shock as he notices Eden is wearing the engagement ring from the box.
