Extended Summary

Ziggy has filled in Dean, who is frustrated at the fact Mackenzie didn’t listen to him and has now got herself in even more debt. Ziggy says it wasn’t like last time and the players were sleazes. When Dean asks how Mackenzie’s going to pay PK back, Ziggy says she doesn’t know. She goes to get changed while Dean tries to call Mackenzie. At the motel room, Mackenzie rejects the call. PK tells her to relax and she asks him for a drink. He holds onto the glass for a moment before letting her take it, saying he won’t bite unless she wants him to. She says being in debt makes her tense.

Dean tells Ziggy he’s not getting an answer from Mackenzie’s mobile, the Salt landline or Logan’s phone. Ziggy admits PK said he’d clear the debt if she slept with him. Dean says they have to find her tonight. At the Parata house, Tane continues to assure Felicity that nothing went wrong. Dean and Ziggy then turn up and Dean has a go at Felicity for not being there. He tells them about Mackenzie owing PK money and wanting her to sleep with him. Ziggy explains it happened after Tane left. Tane and Felicity quickly tell them that the house can’t lose at poker. Ziggy is confused but Dean realises it was a scam to make Mackenzie sleep with him. The problem is they can’t find Mackenzie to tell her: Logan was doped up on painkillers when they went round.

Cash and Rose arrive at the Diner, where Rose orders a triple-shot coffee to get her through the night shift. Cash asks Chloe about how Mia’s doing. Rose comments on him checking on the barista but not his sister. At the Morgan house, Justin and Theo are playing video games and Theo wins for the fifth time. Justin asks if he has TAFE work to do and he says he’s handed it in and is just hoping for a pass. Chloe arrives with leftovers and Theo invites her in. Justin heads off to bed, saying he’d beat Theo on a real race track. Theo checks Chloe is staying and she confirms she’s not just brought him food like a butler.

Mackenzie is pacing and PK tells her to sit down with him. He starts kissing her but she pulls away, saying she can’t. PK says he won’t force her but she still owes him $100,000. Mackenzie says she doesn’t have it and might never. PK says one night with him will solve all her problems. Back at the Parata house, Felicity leaves Nathan a voicemail. Ziggy wonders what they can do if they don’t know where PK is and can’t go to the police. Dean is still angry with both Tane and Felicity for not being there. Dean and Tane square up until their girlfriends step in.

Back at the motel, Mackenzie offers PK the $50,000 from the night’s buy-in but PK says he’s not going to let her off the rest of the debt. She offers a payment plan or a stake in Salt. PK makes it clear he’s only interested in his original deal, suggesting it could sort out her restaurant as well. At the Diner, Rose continues to quiz Cash about the fact that his idea of helping locals doesn’t extend to Felicity. She suggests she could look into what Felicity was talking about and attribute it to an anonymous tip. Cash is bemused at the idea of treating Felicity as a source, despite Rose pointing out he said trouble followed her around, but seems to come around to the idea a bit.

Theo beats Chloe at the video game. She calls him a bad teacher and Theo says Ryder’s even worse than her. They discuss the photo he sent of his room from the ship with a tiny bunk. Chloe admits that she misses him and says she feels lost at the moment: Bella and Nikau aren’t talking to her and everyone else that cares about her has left. Theo says not everyone. Back at the Parata house, Dean is continuing to blame Felicity for giving Mackenzie the idea but even Ziggy defends her and says it’s PK’s fault. Tane says the only thing they can do is wait for Mackenzie to show up. Dean accuses him of not caring about her and Ziggy ushers him out of the house.

Next morning, Dean and Ziggy are walking by the surf club. Dean says the River Boys have never heard of PK and Ziggy remind him Felicity said he was an outsider. Mackenzie appears and tries to fob them off, then breaks down in tears in Dean’s arms. Meanwhile, Theo and Chloe are asleep on the sofa together but woken by a loud clattering from an apologetic Justin. He offers them breakfast but can only make cereal. Chloe says she’ll make them all breakfast burritos and puts Justin in charge of music.

Tane and Felicity exit the gym. Tane has got a text saying Chloe stayed with Theo and tells Felicity not to feel responsible for Mackenzie. After saying goodbye to him, Chloe goes over to Rose’s table and asks if the offer of help still stands. Meanwhile, Dean and Ziggy have brought Mackenzie back to the farm house. They tell her Logan was too drowsy to notice anything. Mackenzie says she went to PK’s room, since she’s not allergic to one-night stands, but couldn’t do it to Logan or herself. Dean explains that PK lied about the debt. Mackenzie is furious that she nearly cheated on her boyfriend and gave PK the $50,000 for nothing, saying he enjoyed it.

Chloe and Theo arrive back at the Parata house and Chloe notes there’s no-one there. Theo suggests they hang out by the pool or watch a movie but Chloe says she can’t be there and asks to go. Meanwhile, Mackenzie has got changed but doesn’t want to talk to Logan. Dean wants to find PK and sort him out his way, but Mackenzie is determined to play him at his own game and get back the money she needs to save Salt. Dean reminds her she admitted she’s in over her head but Mackenzie tells him and Ziggy she’ll deal with it her way whether they support her or not.
