Extended Summary

Cash and Rose are walking near the beach. Rose asks if they know anything more about the car crash. Cash says all they know is there was no oil spill, third party or blood alcohol involved. He asks about Xander not getting the job and mentions Jasmine saying he’s been visiting Millie a lot. Rose says he can be too much of a softie sometimes. They arrive back at the police station and are ambushed by Felicity, who is bewildered that they were just getting coffees and asks Cash why he hasn’t been answering his phone. Cash introduces her and Rose to each other; Rose recalls seeing her at the caravan park but Felicity clearly doesn’t want to talk so she gives them space. Felicity asks Cash to look into PK (she admits she doesn’t know what it stands for) but Cash refuses without knowing more.

PK gives Mackenzie a list of the attendees for the poker night, joking that she should burn it afterwards. She notes Nathan isn’t included and PK says it’s out of his league. Mackenzie says she’ll run the night herself without Felicity. PK tells her to wear something extra night. He passes Ziggy on his way out through the surf club. Dean tells her that Amber has asked him to mind Jai that night and invites her along. Ziggy wants to prep for her next lesson with Theo and suggests he’ll have more fun without her.

Rose tells Cash she had a call from Jo’s family wanting to know if there’s been any progress. Cash says to hand it over to him if they call back. Rose asks about Felicity, wondering why Cash would bend the rules for Alf but not to help her. Cash doesn’t want to break the rules for her, noting she attracts trouble. Near the beach, Felicity complains to Tane about Cash’s reaction. She insists Mackenzie needs back-up and suddenly spots Ziggy nearby, chasing her down to the beach. She tells her she needs to help her at the poker game since the players don’t want her there. Ziggy isn’t keen to go behind Dean’s back but Felicity explains her reasons.

Felicity tells Tane her worries about Mackenzie so Tane volunteers to go along and keep an eye on things, to which she is grateful. Rose comes along and Felicity introduces her and Tane to each other. Rose offers Felicity her help looking into PK. Felicity isn’t happy that she overheard and says she’s fine, leaving as Cash turns up. At Salt, Mackenzie collects the money as PK greets another player, Dougie. Ziggy and Tane turn up and offer Mackenzie their help, explaining Felicity didn’t want her to be alone. Mackenzie is grateful.

At the Parata house, Felicity paces and is about to leave the house when Nathan appears. She tries to get rid of him but he tells her he can’t let her go. Felicity says he can’t stop her but then a heavy-looking chap who he introduces as Barry appears and Nathan notes that he can. Meanwhile, Dean arrives home and calls out to Ziggy, being confused when he realises she isn’t there.

Ziggy comments to Mackenzie on how much money the players are betting. Dougie bets $3000 against PK, who promptly raises him $13,000. Dougie calls and PK reveals he has a straight. Tane gets a text from Felicity saying “Come home” and decides he’d better check it out. When she doesn’t answer his call, he decides to go. PK asks Ziggy to take care of Dougie, then tells Mackenzie they have a problem: The house lost, meaning she owes the players $100,000. At the police station, Rose asks Cash about him losing his father when he was young. She is worried that Felicity’s in trouble but Cash says Felicity needs to be upfront. Rose wonders if there’s something about the PK she mentioned.

Mackenzie has filled Ziggy in. Mackenzie panics, saying this wouldn’t have happened if Felicity had been there. She tells PK she doesn’t understand. He asks her if she capped the stakes, saying she was meant to be running the game, and tells her he’s paid back the players for her. A drunken Dougie comes over and says to put him down for the next game. He tries to ask Ziggy out and she says she’s going home to her boyfriend, despite PK saying Dougie is worth millions. PK gives Mackenzie the details of where he’s staying and somewhat pointedly suggests she come round so they can work out a way to clear the debt. At the Parata house, Nathan gets a text and tells Barry they can go. Tane arrives and Felicity explains as Nathan leaves. Felicity asks if the game went okay. Tane believes it did.

Ziggy tells Mackenzie she can’t do what PK’s asking. Mackenzie says she now owes $150,000: She can’t go to the police or the bank and won’t ask Logan. Ziggy asks her to say she won’t go to the hotel room. Mackenzie says she’ll sort something out and sends Ziggy home. Dean is annoyed when Ziggy turns up dressed up, realising where she’s been. Ziggy tells him that something really bad’s happened. Mackenzie approaches the hotel room. She straightens herself and knocks. PK lets her in.
