Extended Summary

Tane is clearing up on the beach after a class when Felicity grabs him from behind. Tane quips that he thought it was John. He admits he’s finding it hard dealing with all the gym admin without Mia. As they kiss, John beeps them from his buggy and says he’s just had to take a delivery for Tane. Tane retorts that he took deliveries for the juice bar when John was away and John concedes the point, telling him it’s outside the gym. Meanwhile, Dean turns up at Salt and tells Mackenzie he’s still not interested in her illegal stuff but is willing to chat about other things, asking about Logan. Felicity turns up and Mackenzie quickly gets rid of Dean by sending him to Logan with a pizza. Mackenzie tells Felicity about Ryder leaving. Felicity quietly panics about running a poker night with just the two of them but agrees to come up with a new plan.

At the coffee cart, Roo is in a depressed mood. Marilyn thinks it’s about Ryder but Roo says she’s mostly worried about Martha. Marilyn does her best to reassure her, pointing out Martha is up and dancing. At Salt, Mackenzie and Felicity make plans for Mackenzie to run the bar and Felicity to handle the floor, since Mackenzie doesn’t know how to run the game. PK suddenly turns up and they check that he’s the one that’s early. He shuts down Felicity’s attempt to discuss details so Mackenzie sends her away.

Felicity goes to see Tane at the Parata house. He admits there’s not much food in: Chloe was supposed to do shopping but has another problem with Nikau. Felicity says that’s not his problem and tells him about PK showing up: She is still suspicious of him and worried about Mack. Tane echoes her words about it not being her problem and they start kissing. Back at Salt, PK tells Mackenzie they might need to lose Felicity, since he’s heard about her being the sister of a cop. Mackenzie is reluctant to do it without her but PK won’t budge and says he’ll find a different venue. Mackenzie isn’t keen on that either so PK tells her to think about it.

Marilyn and Roo arrive home. Alf tells them Martha’s gone to bed and that she’s just tired. Roo worries that the health kick isn’t a good idea but Alf says this is the best Martha’s been in ages and apologises for trying to stop her. Next morning, Tane and Felicity are walking near the surf club. Felicity is more relaxed after their evening together. Mackenzie appears and Felicity tries to talk to her about the night but Mackenzie just gives awkward and evasive answers and hurries off.

Mackenzie arrives at the surf club and John tries to ask her about her latest private function. Mackenzie snaps that it’s none of his business. Dean tries to talk to her and she admits she’s in big trouble, but when he asks how she’s screwed up this time, she storms off. At the Diner, Irene, Marilyn and Roo chat about Ryder, who’s already made friends on the ship. Roo joins Alf and Martha, who are planning a walk. Roo suggests they go and see Jesse and book an appointment to see if Martha’s closer to being ready. Martha says she’ll do it after the walk.

Tane and Felicity turn up at the surf club and Dean asks what’s up with Mack. Tane goes to the gym and Felicity tells Dean he needs to talk to Mackenzie. She heads up to Salt and tries to talk about arrangements but Mackenzie dodges any discussion. When Felicity asks what’s going on, Mackenzie admits there’s something they need to talk about.

Roo meets up with Alf and Martha near the beach. Martha still hasn’t spoken to Jesse and heads off to the Diner. Roo tells Alf she’s worried that Martha seems to be putting it off. Later, at the Diner, Irene and Marilyn serve Martha a green juice. Alf and Roo arrive and ask her what she’s not telling them. Martha says it’s nothing like that: She thinks that one good day doesn’t prove anything and is worried that the tests will show it’s not working, so wants to enjoy how she feels.

At the surf club, Felicity goes to talk to Tane. Dean tries to cut in but has to go take a call from Amber. Felicity explains about PK not wanting her there. She deduces he must have done some digging on her and worries what he’ll do to Mackenzie. She later finds PK outside and tells him she’s been running events like this for years and Cash has never been a problem. PK brushes off her reassurances, saying it’s out of his hands. Felicity warns him not to mess with Mackenzie but he plays innocent.

At Salt, Tane tries to tell Mackenzie that Felicity is worried about her but Mackenzie insists she’ll make it work. She tells him that she’s $50,000 in debt and this night will pay off everything. PK comes in and checks that they’re okay, thanking her for sorting things with Felicity. Meanwhile, Felicity turns up at the police station looking for Cash. Murray tells her that he’s out. Felicity says she’ll wait.
