Extended Summary

Bella and Nikau have just finished a swim on the beach. Bella tries to reassure Nikau, pointing out he’s modelled for her in the past. Ari comes over and checks they’re ready. When Bella’s out of earshot, he tells Nikau it’s not too late to change his mind. Bella thinks it’s going to be an adventure. Shortly after, at the Parata house, Mia complains about the bike parts lying around and tries to gee up Nikau. Bella appears in a black dress and yellow jacket, saying she’s trying to look serious and professional. Ari compliments her. The youngsters leave and Ari points out to Mia that they have the place to themselves…

Tori asks Christian if they should set a date for three or four months when the weather’s nice. Christian is thinking more three or four weeks. Tori notes she won’t have time to get a big dress or bridesmaids sorted but is happy to go along with it. Christian hesitates though whe he sees a headline in the paper about Lewis’ sentencing before they decide to go for a walk. As they approach the Diner with Grace in her pram, Tori tells Christian they should keep the plans to themselves. They run into Roo, who is running the bait shop while Alf is visiting Martha. Christian blurts out that they’ve set a date. He admits they don’t have a venue and suggests that they could get married right there. Roo offers her services as a wedding planner. Tori tells Christian not to tell anyone else…so he promply tells Irene and Marilyn in the Diner. Tori worries about finding a venue so Marilyn suggests Brody’s restaurant and vineyard. Tori says not to tell anyone since Justin and Leah don’t know, although Irene points out that Christian’s the problem. She and Tori quietly discuss Lewis’ sentencing, which Jasmine has gone to. Tori hopes they can put it behind them.

Ari arrives with Mia for her yoga class. Tori is waiting along with Christian and he and Ari chat about Ari’s recovery. Tori tries to get Christian to join her for the class. Ari says if they need a babysitter, he can keep an eye on Grace. Tori is unsure at first but Mia insists Ari’s great with kids so they agree to meet him at the Diner later. Ari turns up there and meets with Irene and Marilyn, explaining why he’s looking after Grace. He says he had a lot of practice with Nikau, and Chloe was still in nappies when he first met her. Irene asks if he ever thought about having children of his own. Ari says it never worked out.

Bella and Nikau arrive at a plush, modern-looking building. Nikau says he thought it would be smaller and Bella reassures him. They approach the receptionist. Bella tells her they have an appointment and Nikau introduces himself. The receptionist asks about his portfolio and Bella says that’s why he’s there. They’re told to take a seat. Nikau thinks coming there was a mistake. Bella says she’s sure everyone’s nice, just as a model comes running past in tears. Sienna appears with her assistant and is surprised to see Bella there.

Sienna shows Bella and Nikau around and notes the advantages to Bella being there. She gets her assistant to put a number in Nikau’s phone, saying he can get hold of her PA on it any time. She asks Bella to let them talk over the contract in private. Bella asks the receptionist, who makes a sarcastic comment about her jacket, if she can have a look around. The receptionist doesn’t answer so she takes it as a yes. She goes through to a room where a photographer is taking photos of a model, Allegra, and tells her to do light and happy. Allegra says she stopped doing that so the photographer tells her to think of fluffy puppies and what good coats they make. He sends her to change into a gown and then notices Bella. She explains she’s there with Nikau and the photographer lets her stay as he starts photographing Allegra in her new outfit.

Mia is directing the class including Tori and Christian in their yoga poses. As Christian closes his eyes, he has flashbacks to what Tori, Jasmine and Lewis were saying when he was in cardiac arrest, but dismisses it when Tori asks him what’s going on. Later, the three of them meet with Ari outside the Diner to collect Grace. Ari notices Christian’s odd mood but he dismisses it as too much stretching.

The photographer finishes his shots of Allegra before calling a wrap. Bella comments on him using a telephoto lens, which would compress the background and make the models look thinner, which he confirms. Sienna turns up with Nikau and Bella realises the photographer is Emmett, who says he admires her raw talent. At the Parata house, Ari wonders how Nikau’s going while Mia admits she’s been thinking about how their lives would have been with Kuari, noting he’d be tall and handsome by now. She apologises for bringing it up but Ari says it’s good to talk about him.

Back at the Morgan house, Tori wonders if Christian’s odd mood is to do with Lewis. Christian asks what happened when she found him, saying to explain it like a report. Reluctantly, Tori starts talking about looking for him, with Christian having flashbacks to hearing Tori and Jasmine calling out for him. Tori goes on to relate her attempts to resuscitate him. Christian asks what medication she used and she says adrenaline and sodium bic. Christian asks if they used the defibrillator. Tori says Jasmine brought it and the other nurse was preparing it when he went back into sinus. Christian explains that he remembers all of it. Tori says that’s impossible since he was clinically dead. Christian agrees but says he can anyway.

Sienna gives Nikau a jacket to wear and gets an assistant to apply make-up. Emmett jokes about him doing a runner and Bella does her best to put him at ease, with Emmett telling him to relax. He starts shooting photos but Nikau looks uncomfortable. Emmett tries to get him to think of something fun. Nikau asks what to do with his hands and Emmett suggests wrapping them around himself. Nikau says he’s not doing this anymore and walks out, to Bella’s consternation.
