Extended Summary

Theo and Valerie are walking along the beach. Theo wonders why Valerie doesn’t feel as bad as him. She says she’s used to it and it’s the price they pay. Kirby appears and, after she and Valerie exchange rather stitled greetings, tells Theo there’s a couple of interviews lined up to promote Lyrik: A print one and a radio one. She suggests she handle the phone one and they do the radio one together, and Theo agrees, although Kirby expresses concerns about his partying, which Valerie insists isn’t a problem. After Kirby’s gone, Valerie wonders why she’s calling the shots. Theo awkwardly says Kirby’s in charge of publicity but Valerie feels there’s more to it.

At the Lyrik house, Bree finishes a phone call with her mother, telling Remi she can tell she’s struggling. She offers him some food. Remi initially starts to refuse but Bree reminds him they’re supporting each other. Eden appears from her room with a bag, explaining she’s going to see Levi and hopes he’s home because he doesn’t know she’s coming. Bree is filled in on the fact she’s never met her sister-in-law Imogen.

Justin and Leah are sat by the coffee cart. Justin has told Leah about finishing his community service and says there’s something he wants to talk about. At that moment, they get interrupted by Theo and Valerie. Valerie goes to get a coffee as they tell Theo about Justin finishing his community service. Justin tells Theo they were about to head home and Theo says they’ll walk with them…which doesn’t seem to be what Justin had in mind.

Eden parks outside a large house and checks her phone before going up and knocking on the door. Levi is shocked to see her but lets her in. He says Imogen’s out the back and quietly explains that he told her he was seeing Eden while he was in Summer Bay. He claims he promised her he wouldn’t take any more cases outside the city but wanted to see some through. Eden agrees to keep quiet. They find Imogen coming back from the garden, having apparently done some exercises, and Levi introduces the two women. Imogen is delighted to meet Eden and, after giving her a hug, heads off for a shower. Eden is similarly taken with her.

Theo and Valerie are playing a video game. Leah asks if they’re in for dinner and Theo guesses so, since he needs to finish off TAFE work. Once Leah’s out the back, Justin asks the pair to make themselves scarce so he can have a quiet dinner with Leah and they agree. Theo gets a text from Kirby with the interview details. He has told Valerie about his past interview disasters but Valerie thinks he won’t improve if he isn’t given a chance.

Eden checks it’s okay for her to stay. Imogen says Eden’s in luck because she and Levi don’t get many nights off together. Eden apologises for interrupting but says she wanted to meet the woman who made a lifelong commitment to her brother. Imogen jokes that lifelong might be pushing it but is glad the siblings are reconnecting.

Remi finishes doing something on his laptop. Bree suggests watching a movie together but Remi wants to go out rather than stare at another screen. Bree is reluctant but Remi convinces her his recovery’s going well. Back at the Fowler house, Levi, Eden and Imogen have moved outside. Eden presses for the story of how the pair met. They jovially disagree on who did the running but say they met at uni at a graduates’ party when Levi was training as a doctor and Imogen as an occupational therapist; Imogen came over and introduced herself. She notes she’s hoping for rescue dogs and kids, describing the latter as halfway on the table. Levi offers wine or shots. Imogen says she’ll bring him round eventually.

Bree and Remi are on the balcony at Salt. Bree wishes her dad could have seen it, with them recalling it’s where they had their first date and their first public kiss. They drink a toast to his first trip outside the house and to them. Back at the Morgan house, Justin and Leah have finished eating. Leah goes to clean up but Justin asks her to wait for a second. He says it feels like things are coming good again so he wonders how she feels about moving forward with the wedding. Leah wonders if he means setting a date and Justin admits he doesn’t know exactly.

Theo and Valerie exit the surf club. They see Kirby coming the other way and Valerie encourages Theo to talk to her. Theo tells Kirby he can handle the interview on his own. Kirby is surprised, saying she assumed he wouldn’t want to do it. Theo tells her she shouldn’t make assumptions about him. Kirby doesn’t look happy but agrees.

Justin asks if it was too much too soon and Leah admits it is, thanking him for being patient. Theo and Valerie come home at that point and Leah takes the opportunity to go and get ready for bed. Justin confirms the pair gave them enough time but doesn’t look happy with the outcome.

Next morning, Levi is watching the coffee machine when Imogen joins him; she’s pleased to have met Eden. Eden appears at that point and Imogen suggests that, since Levi is working, she and Eden should go shopping. Eden is tempted She says that, with Cash having just started his new job, she wants to get back and see how it’s going. Eden says they’ll have to visit her next time and they say that, with their work schedules, they’ll make sure they arrange a time first. Later, Levi walks Eden to her car and thanks her for not giving him away.

At the Lyrik house, Kirby catches up with Remi and Bree, giving Remi an update on the interviews. She seems uncertain about Theo but Remi reminds her she’s always wanted him to take on more responsibility. Later, Kirby runs into Justin on the beach and learns Theo is having a lie-in. She asks his opinion of Valerie. Justin says he was wary of her at first but she’s been a good support to Leah and Theo. Moments later, Theo appears. Justin says they were talking about Lyrik and Theo asks about the vibe between him and Leah.

Not too far away, nearer the Diner, Leah is filling in Valerie, saying she was scared of hurting Justin. Valerie reminds her she’s always said she loves Justin and tells her not to let fear stop her. Meanwhile, Eden returns home and tells Remi and Bree that she liked Imogen and saw a different side to Levi. Bree gets an e-mail from Doctors Without Borders: They’re offered her a place and the training starts in Belgium in two weeks.

Justin meets Leah by the beach. Leah reflects on everything they’ve been through with the wedding but says she’s all-in: They should get married.
