Eden’s left out by her brother. Rose influences an influencer. John and Roo press Cash for answers.
Extended Summary
Eden follows Mali out of the surf club, wondering why he’s being so uptight. Mali says he doesn’t know what she wants him to say. Rose comes along and overhears part of the argument. Eden ends up walking off and Rose guesses this is about Mali keeping a secret. Mali admits there’s something going on with Mackenzie but won’t give details. Meanwhile, Cash is bewildered that Felicity is drinking the coffee he brought home and Eden has left. John turns up and tries to get Cash to tell him who the mystery donor is but Cash refuses. John awkwardly threatens to report him to the ombudsman before saying it’s not over.
Rose tries to get Mali to give her details but he tells her to drop it. A young woman, Montana, films them on her phone and then says to like and subscribe if “the cop” should trust her boyfriend. At the Diner, John admits to Roo that he went to see Cash but didn’t get anything. Marilyn suggests they should let it go since they trust Cash but John says he’s never known Cash give up on something like this and Roo’s instincts were right. Roo asks if that hurt. Justin turns up and tells Roo and Marilyn that he’s got community service today, since he wants to get the last few days ticked off and then focus on Leah.
Felicity briefly quizzes Cash about John’s visit but doesn’t care about the details. Eden turns up and says she wanted to talk to Mackenzie about Levi but she wasn’t at Salt. Felicity says she could have told her that. Eden asks what Levi said and Felicity says he just said he was catching up with a patient. Eden still wonders why he didn’t call.
Justin turns up at the community service and greets Rose, who admits it’s her first time supervising. As Rose is starting to give an introduction, the woman she encountered before, Montana Kennedy, turns up late. Rose explains they’re there to do bush rejuvenation, meaning looking out for spiders, ticks and sharp objects. Montana complains that she doesn’t do dirt and also calls the high-vis jackets unhygienic.
Eden continues to vent to Cash and Felicity but the latter quickly heads off to work while Cash is half asleep. He promises Eden he’s listening and suggests they go for a swim to wake him up and clear her head, before saying Levi probably only had a small amount of time to see his patients. Eden accuses him of taking Levi’s side, prompting Cash to say that she’s after a fight and he won’t give her one.
Montana pauses for a drink even though Rose warns her it’s not a break. With interjections from Justin, Montana claims to have a rash and that she needs to sit down. Rose replies that, if she does, her hours won’t be signed off. Montana reluctantly hobbles away.
Felicity serves Mali a coffee at Salt. Eden turns up and apologises to Mali about before. She admits to Felicity that she scared Cash off by being needy. She says it’s been hard trusting Levi again. Felicity admits she and Cash have always trusted each other and Eden says Cash would never ignore Felicity like that, before being surprised that the coffee Felicity just gave her is hot.
At the Diner, John updates Roo and Marilyn, claiming that a private investigator is obliged to hand over all information to their client…although he admits the information came from Gerald. He wants to call a committee meeting and refreeze the funds. Roo is reluctant but John is worried he’ll get the blame for advocating using the funds.
Montana asks Justin to give her advice on weeding, protesting that she’s a vegan. Cash comes along with coffee for Rose, who admits she’s having trouble with Montana. Cash suggests finding out why she’s there and treating people differently. Rose goes over to Montana, who’s taking selfies, and quizzes her. Montana admits she stole a handbag for a prank video, not realising it was still illegal, and half her followers think she’s a klepto. Rose suggests she’s lucky not to be in jail and this is an opportunity to take responsibility and move on.
Later, Rose calls time and looks around for Montana, who is recording a video about taking responsibility for mistakes and showing off the weeds she collected. Rose tells Justin that he’s finished for good, which Justin didn’t realise having lost track. He asks about Montana and, seeing her walk off with the rest of the group, Rose thinks she’s actually got through to her.
At the Newman house, Cash meets up again with Eden who admits he had a point. Cash suggests that Levi just hasn’t got used to factoring in her being part of his life again and observes that Eden has never actually been to Levi’s house or even knows where it is. Meanwhile, Mali is sat outside his house when Rose turns up. She apologises for pushing before, saying she understands him keeping secrets for his friend and checks that he’s okay. Mali jokes about her being worried about him and she says that she’s a bit in love with him.
At the surf club, Cash and Eden arrive, with Eden saying they’ll get Cash fed and then to bed. They see John and Roo coming downstairs and Cash sends Eden on ahead as the pair explain they’ve just been at a committee meeting about the donation. After they’ve gone, Cash calls someone and says he did what they said but John and Roo haven’t backed off.
At the Diner, Roo tells Marilyn that the committee were a bit confused by John’s u-turn over wanting to use the money. Justin turns up and tells them about his community service being over. Marilyn asks him how things are moving forward with Leah and Justin says it might be time to put the wedding back on the table.
Outside the surf club, Eden asks Cash if he gets fed up with always being right. She says she’s decided to go and see Levi: She can get the address from her mum and Cash will be sleeping anyway. Cash agrees it’s a good idea and it’ll be a surprise for Levi.
