Extended Summary

Robbo and Jasmine come down from the Diner flat with Jasmine telling Robbo not to critique cop movies and that she’ll choose the film for tonight. She also notes she has to duck home to get some clothes. Tori comes past as they kiss; Robbo greets her but she ignores him. Jasmine suggests giving her time. Inside, Irene asks Tori if she wants her usual coffee but Tori asks for decaf instead. Leah chats to Tori about Mason and also asks her about going back on the donor wait list. Robbo comes in and asks Tori about before. Tori insists she’s not avoiding him.

Justin and Ziggy are working at the garage; Ziggy comments on the amount of work they’ve got coming in and says she can help out more now she’s finished at Tafe for the year. Justin suggests she go to Salt for the lunch but Ziggy asks him to go instead, worried about seeing Simone. At Salt, Simone has got her things together. She tries to apologise to Brody but he ignores her. He does wish her luck but then tells her to go when she tries to talk about how she feels. Simone leaves, looking teary.

Justin enters the surf club in time to see Simone leaving. She explains her work experience has finished. Justin is surprised, since he thought she had another week, and Simone says apparently not. In the gym, Mason is noisily moving weights. Robbo asks when his end date is for starting at the hospital. Mason says to not replace him yet and in fact give him as many shifts as possible, explaining he didn’t get the internship. He says he can apply again next year but has no idea what to do now.

Justin is at the back of a fairly long queue at Salt with no-one serving and ends up going into the storeroom to look for Brody, telling him there’s a backlog. He wonders why Brody let Simone go. Justin gets a call from Ziggy and Brody says not to say anything to her; she is just calling to ask him to order some cheesy bread. Justin asks Brody what’s going on. They head outside where Brody admits he cut Simone’s work experience short because she kissed him. However, he doesn’t want to tell Ziggy. Justin accepts that it’s Brody’s call but is concerned that he seems to care so much about Simone’s feelings.

Tori is on the phone at home, saying she’s not got the cramps she had last time. Mason turns up and Tori says she’s sorry he didn’t get his placement. She offers to help him and suggests they go to the Diner to talk. There, Irene is greeting Jasmine and noting she hasn’t seen her lately. Jasmine says it’s easier spending time with Robbo without an audience before noting that Colby, Chelsea and Bella are back tomorrow. Tori and Mason come in; Tori asks Mason where he’s applied to but is distracted by Jasmine checking they’re all right after earlier as he says Northern Districts, Reefton Lakes, Red Hill and a few rural places. Pulling herself together, she notes other people probably did the same and will have had more than one offer, so a place might become available when they’ve made their choice.

Justin rejoins Ziggy at the garage. He says there were staffing issues at Salt but dodges her questions about Simone and tells her to enjoy her lunch. Meanwhile, Brody meets up with Simone near the surf club. He apologises for ordering her out and admits he does have feelings for her and can’t deal with them: He doesn’t want to betray Ziggy. Simone understands and Brody gives her a list of restaurants and a reference. They hug goodbye.

Robbo comes home to the flat and finds the kitchen in a mess; Jasmine is making tacos. They compare notes and learn they both tried to clear the air with Tori over earlier. Jasmine wonders if he’s spoken to Colby about whether he and Chelsea are planning to move out once they’re married. She and Robbo kiss and he lifts her up onto the surface, both of them deciding to forget about the tacos. Meanwhile, Ziggy comes into Salt and Brody tells her he ended Simone’s work experience but insists it’s nothing to do with her: He just didn’t have time to train her. Simone is sat at a table, probably on the veranda at the Diner, and looks at the photo of her and Brody on her phone. She texts him saying “If things change, call me.”

Tori is telling Mason she’ll make calls in the morning to see if there are any posts available, as Justin arrives home and sees it as an excuse for a celebratory drink. Tori turns down his offer of wine but he pours her a glass anyway. She takes it outside and Justin sees her pour it away. He realises she went through with the transfer, lying to him and to Robbo. Tori says it’s done now and walks away from his objections. Next morning, Tori says she knows Justin is disappointed but Robbo can have children with Jasmine, whereas despite everyone saying she has other options, there are no guarantees and she had the embryo. She thinks that if the baby arrives Robbo will be pleased and says that Justin can tell him if he wants.

Robbo and Jasmine walk on the beach. Jasmine is a bit disappointed that Colby and Chelsea will be back soon and suggests she and Robbo go away together camping. She heads off to work as Justin approaches and comments to Robbo that things are going well with Jasmine. Robbo says he’s going to marry her.
