Extended Summary

Jasmine is standing outside the Diner when Robbo joins her and asks if she’s OK. Jasmine says he caught her by surprise and asks if he was only pretending to be fine with them being mates. Robbo says not exactly: He thought he could just carry on like they were before. He doesn’t want things to change but Jasmine says they already have and walks away. At the farm house, Coco comes into the kitchen as Maggie is crossing off Day 50 on the chart. Maggie has printed off a study schedule for Coco to keep her busy. Ben notes he heard the printer going late at night but is glad Maggie’s getting back to her old self. Coco isn’t happy about falling behind at school and notes Maggie has a different idea of fun to her.

At the Diner, Marilyn is giving Raffy a large amount of food for the study session, which John is taking her to. Ryder comes in and thinks it’s for a picnic, trying to invite himself along. Raffy explains about the study session and that Coco’s going to be there too. Ryder obviously didn’t know but makes out that Coco told him and he forgot. Outside, John and Raffy run into Leah and Tori. Tori wonders what’s going on and Raffy admits she’s failing Year 11. Tori is shocked and says she’ll drive Raffy to Maggie’s so they can talk (which John is fine with since he has other things to do). Tori tells Leah they’ll talk later.

Tori tells Maggie she can arrange a tutor for Raffy if necessary but Maggie says she can handle it, promising she won’t overdo it. Maggie rejoins Coco and Raffy, with Raffy producing Marilyn’s muffins. Coco gets a text from Ryder and Raffy says he didn’t know about the session. Coco complains that she can’t concentrate with him texting all the time. Raffy suggests it shows he cares but Coco is upset she’s let Maggie down and wants to make her proud. Outside the Diner, Ben is doing some sanding while Ryder worries about Coco not texting. Ben says they’ll probably be tied up for most of the day. Ryder protests he can’t go that long without seeing her. Ben suggests he organise something for when she’s finished.

John brings Robbo the contract for the gym, saying it was e-mailed to the surf club. However, Robbo says he’s still making his mind up. Colby is intrigued but, after John has gone, Robbo tells him it was just a dumb idea. Colby wonders what’s going on. Downstairs, Jasmine fills Irene in about the kiss. She is worried she was sending out mixed messages but Irene says Robbo was obviously hiding his feelings. Irene thinks they should stay away from each other for a bit but Jasmine doesn’t want to. Irene asks why if she doesn’t have feelings for him.

Alf is bemused when Ryder comes in with shopping. Ryder explains he’s got some food to surprise Coco with. He asks Alf to make himself scarce. Alf isn’t keen on leaving two teenagers alone in the house but Ryder promises to obey house rules so he agrees, adding that he’ll be close by. He wonders why Ryder isn’t in the study session. Ryder says not studying is working for him. At the farm house, Raffy correctly interprets a scientific symbol but Coco continues to be lost. Maggie reassures her, saying they’ll go over it again. Coco has got sixteen texts from Ryder without replying. Raffy suggests if she does he might stop so Coco texts back saying “Gr8, call you later.”

Robbo has explained to Colby that he’s worried he won’t be able to handle seeing Jasmine in the gym all the time. Colby replies that it’s a new direction for Robbo at last and he should tell Jasmine if their friendship isn’t working. Back in the Diner, Jasmine admits to Irene that she’s spent so much time focusing on being a friend to Robbo she hasn’t recognised her feelings. She then gets a text from Robbo inviting her to come for a walk. As she leaves, Irene comments to Leah that she’s glad she’s past the relationship stage. Tori comes in and tells Leah she’s looking into finding a donor herself rather than through the clinic.

Raffy and Coco are finishing off their study session. Maggie says she’s going for a nap and suggests they relax. However, Coco tells Raffy she’s going to carry on studying and will see Ryder tomorrow. Raffy goes round to see Ryder and finds he has laid out snacks and has a movie ready. Ryder says it’s meant to be a party for two but Raffy tells him Coco isn’t coming and didn’t know what he had planned. Ryder goes to throw the snacks away but Raffy stops him and suggests they do movie and popcorn together instead.

Robbo tells Jasmine that he’s sorry if he overstepped but thinks they need to draw a line under it and stop hanging out: No drinks, no dinners, no runs on the beach. Jasmine thinks it’s a bit extreme but if that’s what he needs, she agrees. She walks away but shoots a wistful look back at him. At the Diner, Tori has told Leah she’s found offers from donors on social media. Leah isn’t sure, thinking the clinic will do checks. Tori says she’d do those checks herself. Leah suggests Tori use someone she know but Tori points out what an embarassing conversation that would be.

John watches as Robbo signs the contract and is amused to discover Robbo’s real name. After he’s gone, Colby offers Robbo a celebratory beer. After a few moments’ hesitation, Robbo goes with him. In the Diner, Jasmine had filled in Irene. Irene thinks Jasmine should tell Robbo about her feelings but Jasmine thinks he doesn’t need her messing him about and they need to move on.

Ryder and Raffy finish watching the movie which Ryder considers lame, saying he got it because Coco wanted to watch it. Raffy points out she’s only up the road. Ryder says he’s lucky to have her but Raffy thinks Coco’s lucky, asking if it bothers Ryder that she stood him up. Ryder says there’s nothing he can do about it. Back at the farm, Maggie is shocked to emerge from her nap to find Coco still studying, saying she needs a break to refresh herself and then things will be easier tomorrow. Ben returns and is also surprised to see Coco still there, giving her money to go and do something with Ryder. However, although she goes, Coco takes her tablet with her.

Coco is studying outside the Diner when Raffy appears and acidly notes that she can do that but not go and see Ryder. She tells Coco about the special date he had set up for her, asks if she even read his messages and says she takes Ryder for granted and doesn’t deserve him.
