Nicole finds out the whole town know about her and Sid. Ruby is terrified to find Grant back in town. Alf makes a grisly discovery.
Extended Summary
Sid insists that he was going to tell Miles about Nicole’s infatuation but didn’t get a chance before Miles came storming over. Sid adds that he’s tried to tell Nicole numerous times that they’ll never be, but he can’t help it if she still has feelings for him. Meanwhile, Jai becomes suspicious that something is going on with Nicole and demands to know the truth from Kirsty and Miles.
After Miles and Kirsty learn from Alf that an emotional Nicole verbally abused Annie at the Surf Club, they realise there’s only one person who will be able to put an end to things. Later when Nicole arrives at Sid’s, she’s heartbroken to see he’s enjoying the company of a nurse from the hospital. Back home, Nicole tells Miles that she didn’t have a schoolgirl crush on Sid – she was actually in love with him. Later, Sid admits to Miles that he may have flirted with Nicole but nothing was ever going to come to fruition, especially now as he’s decided to rebuild his relationship with Indigo and Dexter.
With Ruby living back at Irene’s and determined to pay her way, Geoff informs her that there is a job going down at the fish markets. Meanwhile, Romeo learns about the job and when he goes to enquire about it, he’s met by Ruby and Geoff who inform him that Ruby has scored the position. Romeo comments that it isn’t surprising they gave the job to such a beautiful girl before apologising to Geoff for hitting on his girlfriend. Both Ruby and Geoff insist that they’re not together, but has Romeo picked up on something?
Angelo isn’t impressed that Charlie is letting Grant get away with what he’s done. When Ruby spots Xavier talking to Grant, she blasts him for talking to her biological father, while Angelo issues Grant with a stern warning – if any harm comes to Ruby or Charlie, death threats will be the least of his worries. Ruby talks to Charlie about the situation with Grant and Charlie insists that she’ll sort something out to rid Grant from their lives forever. While Ruby tells Xavier about what happened with Grant, Charlie is infuriated to see Grant placing a report at the police station about Angelo’s threats. Later, after locking up the bait shop, Alf is stunned to find Grant’s bloodied and lifeless body on the beach.
