Baby Harry goes missing on Martha’s watch. Hugo has a very fishy problem to solve. Geoff and Ruby leave town together.
Extended Summary
Following her run-in with Charlie, Ruby spends the night at Irene’s. Annie tries to offer Ruby some support and even suggests she come to church with her. Realising that everyone’s still in a state over Belle’s death, Ruby apologises for being a burden and says she’s going to catch a bus into the city as she can’t stay in Summer Bay.
After Annie and Geoff have a falling out over Belle’s passing, Annie is comforted by Dexter who offers to listen if she needs to talk. Jai and Xavier catch sight of Annie and Dexter talking and Xavier teases Jai that he’s jealous.
Ruby confides in Geoff that she’s not ready to talk to Charlie yet and there’s too much going on in her head. The conversation turns to Belle’s death and Geoff admits that he can’t cope. Belle asked him to look after Irene and Annie but after her death and everything else that has happened this year with Nicole and Claudia, he can’t face up to things. When Ruby reveals it’s time for her to go and catch the bus to the city, Geoff announces that he’s going with her.
While driving to the city, Geoff and Ruby’s car runs out of petrol. Geoff questions whether they’re doing the right thing by running away. Ruby herself has doubts but they agree to continue on to the city.
Gibbsy confronts Hugo about his no-show. With Hugo’s abalone order sitting idle, Gibbsy demands payment by this afternoon. Despite Hugo’s protests that he doesn’t have the cash, Gibbsy demands payment by the afternoon or there’s going to be trouble. Later, Gibbsy dumps Hugo’s abalone order at the boat shed and once again demands payment.
Meanwhile, Angelo searches through Irene’s records in the hope of finding some more evidence in the abalone case. After visiting Alf to run through a few details of the case, Angelo steals the key to the boat shed.
Martha and Hugo are babysitting baby Harry for Rachel and Tony for the afternoon. Hugo reveals to Martha that he was setting up Gibbsy but it backfired and Martha urges him to go to the police. Hearing a thud, Martha and Hugo rush to check on baby Harry but find his crib empty and the window open. It’s then they realise Harry has been kidnapped.
