As their wedding day dawns, Aden struggles to decide whether he can marry Belle. Charlie is unable to tell Morag and Ross about her relationship with Angelo.
Extended Summary
Belle returns to Irene’s after Aden refused to see her and Amanda can sense that something is seriously wrong with her daughter. Questioning Belle, Amanda is unconvinced when she insists that everything is fine. Later, Aden appears at Belle’s window to check-in on her, however, when Belle turns to see if there’s anyone there, Aden is gone.
The next morning and it’s the day of Aden and Belle’s wedding. Nicole tells Aden that he needs to let Belle know if the wedding is going ahead or not. Aden doesn’t know how he can stand there and marry Belle knowing what he knows. He is so angry and unsure if he can go through with things. Nicole says that while he may see it as lying to him, she only did it to protect him. Even though she’s dying, Belle still put his feelings before hers and that proves how much Belle loves him. Nicole hands Aden a letter from Roman and says she was meant to give it to him after the wedding, but she thinks he needs to read it now.
At Irene’s, Nicole tells Belle that she has spoken to Aden but she’s not sure if he’s going to go through with the wedding. Belle, still believing that Aden will show, insists that the wedding will go ahead. After everything she and Aden have been through, Belle is convinced that Aden will show up.
While everyone gathers for the wedding, Aden remains at home, contemplating his future with Belle. Nicole leaves a message for Aden pleading with him to turn up to the wedding for Belle’s sake as an emotional Aden reads Roman’s letter.
Belle arrives at the wedding location and realises that Aden isn’t there. Despite Nicole remaining upbeat and insisting that Aden has been held up, Belle is unconvinced. With Aden a no-show, Belle concedes there isn’t going to be a wedding and announces to the gathered guests that there isn’t going to be a wedding. However, Aden appears behind Belle in his suit and apologises to Belle for being late. Belle asks Aden if he’s sure and he replies that he’d be a fool not to marry her. In front of their family and friends, Belle and Aden exchange wedding vows and seal the deal with a kiss.
At the wedding reception, Ruby tells Charlie that she doesn’t think she should tell their dad and Morag about her relationship with Angelo. Later, when Angelo plans to take Charlie out for a romantic boat ride, she isn’t so sure it’s a good idea. Taking a step back, Charlie steps into the path of an oncoming car and is knocked to the ground.
