Hayley discovers Scott’s deception with tragic consequences. Kim and Scott come to blows.
Extended Summary
Hayley reveals to Kim she’s thinking about taking Scott back and asks his advice. – Kim says he can see she hasn’t been happy since the whole ‘break’ thing happened. Hayley’s confused- but the one thing she does know is that she doesn’t like being without Scott. Meanwhile, things are getting hot and heavy between Josie and Scott. It seems things might go even further when Scott pulls back – he can’t do this. Josie tries to reassure him but Scott heads out. Outside, Scott jumps in his car and starts to lose it, bashing at the car – angry with himself for kissing Josie.
Noelene and Peter try to be civil with each other, but it quickly deteriorates. Noelene thinks Peter wrecked Dan’s first marriage and Peter’s still hurt his mother didn’t come to see him when he was ill. Three months in bed and not one visit.
Drinks all around as the buck’s party gets in to swing. Scott arrives late in a bad mood and orders a stiff drink. At the hen’s night, Hayley’s distracted and Leah pulls her up. Hayley reveals that she’s considering getting back with Scott. Josie is across this and feels guilty.
Scott is getting really drunk. He has a go at Kim about something minor – Kim dismisses it, shaking his head at Scott’s attitude. Alf pulls Scott up and tells him that whatever is going on, he needs to pull his head in – tonight is Dan’s night. Peter opens up to Flynn about the bad blood between his parents and himself. Despite Peter’s words, he wishes things were different…
Leah’s keeps hinting about the arrival of the stripper. The thing is Sally and Hayley haven’t organised one. Noelene’s horrified and ends up convincing Helen to help her book a stripper. An unlikely friendship is blossoming between the two women. Hayley makes a toast to Leah. It’s a heartfelt moment and what she says has resonance with her own feelings for Scott. Helen gets up to talk. Leah cringes, wondering what she is going to say. However, much to Leah’s surprise, Helen offers her love and heart-felt support to the couple. Leah is touched.
Jesse steps up and makes an unexpected, yet supportive toast. He knows that they haven’t always seen eye to eye in the past – but Jesse reckons Dan and Leah have got a great future together. The boys toast Dan. Scott’s really hammered and wants another drink – but Alf doesn’t give him one. Alf knows something is wrong and calls Scott on it… Scott reveals that he’s made a terrible mistake – he kissed Josie. Kim overhears and can’t believe it. He gets all fired up and they end up coming to blows. Dan intervenes and ends up with a black eye.
Noelene can’t hide her excitement at the arrival of the stripper. Helen’s initially a little reserved and embarrassed by the whole thing, but much to Leah’s surprise, she lets down her guard, Leah is pleased to see her mum lightening up. Then Hayley tells Sally she’s finally comes to a decision – she’s going to take Scott back… Just as her phone rings and its Scott. Drunk, he says he’s sorry for hurting her and he didn’t mean it to happen, kissing Josie was nothing… Hayley is shocked.
Hayley confronts Josie about the kiss. Josie tries to explain what happened – but Hayley is furious. An argument breaks out between them and starts to get heated, during which, Hayley doubles over in pain and collapses. Horrified looks all around – what’s wrong with Hayley?!
