Extended Summary
Remi and Bree are walking near the beach. Bree has booked time off work but notes it seems strange when she’d normally be on call. Remi tries to get her to appreciate the time off. They run into John, who checks how they both are and notes it would have been easier for Cash to get the news from a familiar face. He realises he’s put his foot in it and quickly says goodbye.
Levi is tending to Abigail’s arm at a picnic table, noting she’s got an infection. Abigail tells him to stop talking to her like a doctor and Levi says she doesn’t want him to talk to her like a brother. He wants her to go to hospital but she refuses to let him parade her around like a freak show. She tries to leave and he says he can treat her himself but she has to come home with him.
At the Newman house, Eden asks Cash when Gary’s expecting them and he just says whenever they get there. Justin calls round and tells Cash about the plan for a memorial to celebrate Felicity’s life. He’s willing to call it off but Cash agrees it’s a good idea, saying his sister always wanted a “festival of Felicity”.
Back at the farm house, Levi asks Abigail if anything happened to cause her to do this. Abigail suggests her siblings abandoning her, before admitting it’s not that: Someone offered her some and she tried it. Levi asks why she kept taking it and she says it made her feel good. He tells her to stay there while he gets some antibiotics. Abigail asks him for money and he says they’ll talk when he gets back.
Remi and Bree are at the house. Eden comes in and says she has to get some things, before admitting she doesn’t know what to wear for the funeral. She then remembers they haven’t returned the wedding dresses and worries they’ll be charged. They tell her they’ll handle it. Later, Cash and Eden are getting ready to leave. Remi comes round to deal with the wedding dresses. Cash gives him the keys, telling him to keep the place locked and water the plants.
Levi arrives home and worriedly calls out for Abby, who emerges from a back room. He gives her the antibiotics, telling her to take two with food. She says it would help if she had money for groceries but refuses his offer of anything from the cupboard. She also refuses to let him put her through rehab, saying if he doesn’t give her the money she’ll find it somewhere else.
Later, Levi is on the phone to Mackenzie, teling her Abigail was just using the money for partying and asking her not to come home yet. He asks Abigail if she’ll just steal the money from somewhere else and what will happen when she chooses the wrong person. He can tell she’s going through withdrawals. Abigail says she just needs money to get her through the next few days.
Bree and Remi have finished watching a movie which neither were paying attention to. She asks him how Cash is doing. Meanwhile, Justin and Theo arrive at the Diner with Justin asking for help with the memorial. Alf checks he’s asked Cash and Justin says he was all for it. Marilyn says she and Leah are ready to help with the catering. Theo points out they’ll need lots of tequila shots. Justin gets a phonecall and says the memorial’s going to be called the Festival of Felicity.
Bree gets off the phone and tells Remi that the shop’s going to send a courier with no charge. They reflect on how Felicity was probably planning a big night for her and Eden to try them on. Bree says they’re making her feel sad and puts them in another room. Meanwhile, Abigail is getting ready to leave. Levi gives her some money, saying he’d rather she didn’t try and get it from somewhere else, and says he’ll give her the rest on condition she lets him take her to their mum’s, so at least he’ll know where she is. Abigail says their mum doesn’t need to know the whole story and Levi agrees.
Cash and Eden arrive in the country and are greeted by Gary. Cash hugs him, saying he’s sorry he didn’t tell him sooner. Later, they are sat outside with Gary commenting on Eden finally getting to see the place. He points out where Felicity used to turn on the ute’s headlights and dance by a tree. Cash flashes back to the incident but doesn’t really engage with the others, abruptly walking away. Gary asks how he’s been and Eden says like that.
At Salt, John is telling Theo and John that the funeral’s in the morning so they’ll have the memorial at the same time. Remi and Bree arrives. Remi takes Theo aside and asks how he feels about performing tomorrow. Theo agrees and Remi says he’ll let Kirby know. Both John and Justin agree. Later, Remi follows Bree as she leaves the club, flustered. He asks what’s going on. She says she’s lost a lot of patients and had to tell their family and share the worst moment of their life…but then they leave, whereas this time she’s surrounded by people whose loved one she couldn’t save.
Gary tells Eden about how Cash always stood up for Felicity, even when she was in the wrong. Cash reappears and says he’s turning in, declining Eden’s offer to go with him. Gary talks to Eden about how she was friends with Felicity. She admits she doesn’t know how to help Cash. Gary says it was Cash and Felicity against the world for a long time, but Eden was the only person Cash wanted there.
Next morning, Eden joins Cash on the veranda. The funeral car draws up and Gary joins them outside. The three of them walk behind the car on its long drive.
