Extended Summary

Justin and Leah are walking through a park area. Justin says Theo did well at the garage but was still low, and has gone to see Remi and Kirby. Leah tells him about the funeral being tomorrow and Justin says he’ll close the garage so they can attend. Leah explains it’s out in the country and family only, which basically means Cash, Gary and Eden. Both of them think it doesn’t feel right but Leah says they need to respect Cash’s wishes.

At Salt, Mackenzie and Levi have come in to take a delivery. Mackenzie starts to give Levi instructions on where to put things away but he is distracted by an alert from the bank to Abigail drawing out another $150. He insists he can afford it but Mackenzie doesn’t think ignoring her stealing from him is helping.

Mali talks to Alf about how Kirby won’t drop the idea of the competition. Alf wonders why he doesn’t want to enter. Mali says that he started the painting when he was in a bad place and feels shame when he looks at it. Alf says it looks like a marlin on the line to him and no-one is going to see what Mali does. He heads to the Diner and suggests to Marilyn that they walk home together. Marilyn checks he knows about the funeral and says she doesn’t even know where to send flowers. Alf gets a call from Martha and says he needs her help with something.

Mackenzie and Levi have finished putting things away. Mackenzie thinks Levi needs to lock the card. Levi says at least the withdrawals mean Abigail’s alive and has money. Mackenzie suggests if Abigail does have a problem, Levi is stopping her dealing with it, whereas if he locks the card, she’ll have to deal with it. Levi does so. Next morning at the Diner, Leah, Marilyn and Justin chat to Rose, who says she sent Cash a text but hasn’t spoken to him. She knows from Xander that Salt is reopening today but he’s worried Mackenzie is still struggling.

Levi offers Mackenzie a coffee but she says she has to go now. Levi decides to go with her and get a coffee there. Before they can leave, Abigail storms in, angry at Levi for cutting her off, and throws his wallet at him. Outside the surf club, Alf approaches Mali and says he spoke to Martha. She said it’s normal to be nervous and, once his artwork’s out there, it doesn’t belong to him anymore and everyone will put their own interpretation on it.

Abigail continues to have a go at Levi and accuses Mackenzie of being the one to tell him to lock the card. Mackenzie decides she has to go. Levi tells Abigail she doesn’t get to lecture him after stealing from him and from the surf club and knows she’s left her share house. Abigail keeps asking him for money, then says she’ll ask Eden. Levi tells her not to, since Eden’s been through enough. Abigail asks what’s happened.

At Salt, Mackenzie is greeted by Justin and notes she’s not sure if she’ll hold it together at the funeral. Justin tells her about it being family only. Mackenzie is aghast that people like Remi and Kirby, who knew Felicity as long as Eden, or Tane, who used to be family, aren’t allowed. She accepts the family’s decision but says they’re not the only ones who have lost someone. Justin agrees and suggests they have a memorial there for everyone else. Mackenzie thinks it’s a great idea.

Rose arrives at the surf club and sees Mali’s painting, being surprised by it. Mali asks her opinion of it and she says it’s cool and bright and like fireworks. Upstairs, Mackenzie tells Justin she’s ordered the extra bubbly for the memorial, because it can’t be a celebration of Felicity without free-flowing champagne. Rose comes up for a coffee order and they tell her the plan, inviting her to come. Mackenzie mentions Levi’s busy with Abigail being back in town. Justin goes to spread the word. Mackenzie tells Rose about Abigail stealing Levi’s wallet. Rose tells her she thought Abigail stole the surf club petty cash but Levi insisted it was nothing.

Down on the beach, Mali tells Alf that he’s decided to submit the painting to the competition, having realised he was right. Alf notes Kirby should get the credit. Mali admits the problem now is that he has to wait for the winner to be announced. Alf invites him fishing with him. At the farm house, Levi has explained to Abigail about Felicity and notes Eden isn’t answering his texts, much like Abigail didn’t. He tries to get her to tell him what’s wrong but at that moment Mackenzie arrives back, having a go at Abigail for stealing and Levi for covering for her. Abigail storms out and Mackenzie accuses Levi of enabling her.

At the Diner, Justin tells Leah and Marilyn about the memorial idea. Marilyn thinks it’s a wonderful idea and Leah agrees to help with the catering, saying it feels right. Later, Alf has joined them and Marilyn says  Mackenzie has told them she needs help with the sweets. Alf asks Justin what Cash thinks of it and Cash points out he’s gone to ground. Alf thinks Justin should get his blessing.

Levi gives Abigail a lift to the bus stop. He tries to talk her out of leaving. Abigail starts to walk away and Levi grabs her arm, causing her to yell in pain. Levi asks if someone’s hurting her. Abigail bursts into tears and buries herself in Levi’s chest. Later, Levi asks her what’s going on. Abigail rolls up her sleeve to reveal needle marks. Levi asks what she’s using.
