Theo owes Mac big time. Remi and Bree give in to their attraction. Will Kirby send Bob packing?

Extended Summary

Kirby, Eden and Bob arrive back at Lyrik’s house. Kirby wants Bob to go but Eden accepts his offer to cook for them. Kirby wonders how Theo could just not turn up like that and Eden points out it’s probably because of Bob joining them (which she is fully aware Bob can hear). Kirby says Theo should have spoken to her and Eden says people don’t always speak up. Kirby wonders where Remi is and she shrugs.

At the motel, Bree tells Remi he shouldn’t have come. Remi reiterates that he wanted to make sure she was okay. Bree says she just changed her mind about going to the gig and Remi explains it was cancelled. Bree tells him to go but then changes her mind and admits she didn’t go to the gig because she realised she’d spent an hour getting ready for a man who isn’t her husband.

Ziggy, Dean and Mackenzie arrive at Salt. Dean comments on how Jai is keen to share a room with the baby and Ziggy reflects he might not be so keen when the baby’s crying during the night. They find Justin trying to placate Vik Vickers with an offer of a behind the scenes interview but Vik isn’t interested in a band who don’t turn up to their gigs. Mackenzie tries to get an explanation from Justin, who says he doesn’t know the full story yet and will talk to her in the morning.

At the Morgan house, Leah suggests Theo could still go to the gig but he isn’t interested in seeing Kirby and Bob together. Justin turns up with Kirby, who he ran into outside. He and Leah give the youngsters some space as Kirby asks Theo why he didn’t turn up, saying Bob was only joining them for one song. Theo says that’s not what she said in the voicemail. Kirby says Theo only had to ring back and say that he minded, and instead they had to cancel the gig.

Bob helps himself to most of Eden’s neglected meal. Eden tells him he can leave once he’s finished. Bob suggests he stick around to see Kirby and also wonders about Remi chasing after women again. Eden say he’s only interested in cashing in on their success. Bob suggests he could do the dishes or sleep in Remi’s room but Eden tells him to leave. Meanwhile, Bree is pouring a drink. Remi says she knows how he feels but the timing’s wrong and nothing can happen. Instead, Bree walks over and kisses him. Remi checks that she’s sure and she says she is before they resume kissing.

Mackenzie sends her staff home and gives free food to Ziggy and Dean, complaining that it’s usually their busiest night and her business is on the line. Bob comes in as Dean suggests Mackenzie go and see Felcity. Bob says she’s not home but offers to play a few tunes for a small fee. Mackenzie says it’s too late. Meanwhile, Bree and Remi are curled up in bed together. Remi asks if she regrets it. Bree says she’d forgotten what it feels like to be safe with someone.

Theo tells Kirby that Bob was talking about their history. Kirby says she should have been clearer in her message and Theo says he should have asked her to explain. Kirby says they wouldn’t have taken Bob back even if he had performed with them and Theo makes her happy. They kiss, as Justin passes through the room unnoticed. Going into the bedroom, he tells Leah that Theo and Kirby have made up but he still has Mack to deal with.

Next morning, Ziggy and Dean chat about the situation near the surf club. Dean says Mackenzie is sensitive about Salt and money. Ziggy feels the baby kicking and Dean suggests having an entire footy team. Justin and Leah arrive and Justin asks about Mackenzie. Ziggy reminds him he gave her a lecture about responsibility and Dean explains Mackenzie’s seeing a supplier. Justin suggests going home but Leah says they’ll have breakfast in Salt and wait. Dean quips it’ll make up for the lost business.

Theo tells Kirby he’ll load and unpack the van every gig for a month to make up for things. Kirby tells him Eden and Remi sided with him, although Theo thinks it was more a case of them siding against Bob. Kirby says it was her fault for falling for Bob’s sob story. She notices Bob’s car outside the house and Theo points out he’s asleep in it. After trying to think of an excuse, Bob says it’s his new home. Exchanging a look with Theo, Kirby invites him inside.

Remi and Bree are getting ready to leave. Remi asks what Bree’s day is going to be and she says no two days in Emergency are the same. Remi has a meeting with Justin and says she might see him in Emergency. He asks what happens after last night. Bree isn’t sure but says she’s glad it happened. Remi catches up with Eden at the surf club. He asks if his guitar got home safely. She says she was hoping he’d come home as well and guesses he spent the night at Bree’s. She asks him if they just talked and Remi says it’s none of her business. Eden says this isn’t who he is. Remi says maybe it is now.

Theo brings Bob some breakfast. He tells Kirby he’s going to meet Justin and she kisses him goodbye. She comments she never thought she’d see Bob drink instant coffee. Bob says he’s completely broke: He borrowed the car, is only still there because he can’t afford petrol to drive home and can’t even afford decent coffee. He apologises and Kirby accepts but says she doesn’t want anything from him, only offering him petrol money. Bob claims Theo’s got in her head. Kirby says she’s tried to be the bigger person but she doesn’t care anymore.

Theo joins Justin, Remi and Eden at Salt and apologises for not turning up, saying Bob got to him. Remi and Eden accept the apology and Justin says maybe Mackenzie will be as forgiving…as she walks in with a face like thunder. Theo tries to explain but Mackenzie is unimpressed that he didn’t turn up because he was feeling insecure about his girlfriend. She says she hires extra staff, orders extra food and drink, and pays for promotion, stage and lighting, and wants reimbursing.

Downstairs, Dean shows Ziggy an advertisement for a bassinet, explaining the baby can sleep in it in their room when Jai stays over. Remi and Eden come downstairs, having been told to leave things to Justin. Dean asks how things went with Mackenzie and Eden admits not great.

Mackenzie announces to Justin and Theo that her losses amount to $2000. Justin says he’ll transfer the money but Theo says it should be up to him. Mackenzie says she doesn’t care who pays, as long as she gets the money. After she’s gone, Justin quickly realises Theo doesn’t have the money and comments on him promising what he can’t deliver.
