A violent showdown puts Hayley’s baby at risk. Leah begs Dan for his forgiveness, but can their relationship be salvaged? Tasha moves in with Robbie.
Extended Summary
Dan’s refusing to speak to Leah after she neglected to tell him about lying for Jesse. Leah feels terrible. Later that night she works hard to get Dan’s forgiveness. Dan asks her to promise to stay away from Jesse, and she does. She wonders what will happen to her for lying to the police.
Jesse’s drinking his troubles away. Alf’s pressuring Hayley to drop him from the business. Peter doesn’t think Jesse made the cocktail. Jesse lays into Leah for giving him up to the police. Alf boots him out of the Diner. Leah is hurt Jesse would treat her like this. Dan goes after him and the two of them have a fight which is broken up by Flynn. Jesse storms off. Flynn talks to Jesse – warns him he’s alienating himself. Jesse is unresponsive. Alf wants to bring Beth in on the partnership. Hayley wants him to be patient. She talks to Jesse and says he’s still getting over Josie. Jesse denies it. They argue. Jesse secretly takes money from the till.
Beth reluctantly allows Tasha to stay at her house. Beth finds Tasha and Robbie together in bed and splits them up – there needs to be ground rules. Irene isn’t happy about Tasha leaving the Beach house. She goes to Beth’s and the two of them get into an argument. The real issue is Beth’s resentment of her loss of friendship with Irene and Hyde. Tasha feels bad. Irene tries to convince her to come back, but Tasha says not until Kim comes to his senses. Tasha decides to move to Sally and Flynn’s so as not to get between Irene and Beth. Kim and Tasha have a serious discussion about their viewpoints and both agree to disagree and keep their distance from one another.
Kim wants more support from the town over his job with the resort. He’s trying to do the best for his baby. Scott can see it from the other side. Kim storms out. Scott denies he was attacking Kim. Irene wants Kim to talk to Tasha about moving back in, but he refuses. Maybe she wants him to move out? Irene assures him that’s not the case and apologises for being insensitive.
Alf discovers Jesse took the money and confronts Jesse, but he’s unrepentant. Hayley agrees with Alf that they should approach Beth about the partnership, but feels terrible. Beth is keen to come on the business. Jesse walks in on the meeting and thinks a deal is being done. Kim tries to step in and calm things but Jesse gets violent and then accidentally elbows Hayley in the stomach. She goes down in agony. Will the baby be okay?
