Extended Summary
Jesse feels awful for what happened to Hayley. Alf has a go at him. Jesse can’t help but defend himself. Alf tells him to take responsibility for what he did. Jesse starts drinking heavily. He finds out that Beth is replacing him in the business and starts smashing up the Club. Alf gets him out with a threat to call the police.
Beth blames herself for the Hayley situation because Jesse got angry over her. Alf says Jesse’s the only one to blame. This proves he needs to go. Hayley and the baby are okay. She applauds Scott and Kim, her two knights in shining armour. Maybe this threesome thing can work?! Kim tells Hayley the incident brought home to him how fragile the baby is. He apologises to Scott for going off at him the day before. Alf comes over to Hayley to see how she is and asks her if she still wants Jesse on the partnership. Hayley decides she doesn’t.
Matilda’s preparing for her date with Diesel tomorrow night. Cassie’s still curious about Diesel, and subtly tries to tell Matilda not to get her hopes up, but Matilda’s too excited. Diesel’s still being bullied at school. He refuses to bite back and Sally praises him for his control. He’s pleased, but later he flirts with Matilda in front of the bullies, to prove he’s not gay. Ric and Cassie are going with Matilda on a double-date to keep a check on Matilda. They think the date’s going well, but Diesel is putting up a front. At the end of the night, Matilda gives Diesel a peck on the lips. She’s ecstatic, but Diesel isn’t. Matilda is clearly in for a fall.
Irene tries to apologise to Beth again, but Beth refuses to hear it.
Josie tells Kim to have the afternoon off after what happened to Hayley, but Kim refuses. Morag reminds Josie that she’s on her case. Josie is rattled. Kim tells her about a mystery call from some guy called Jay. She’s rattled again. She introduces Kim to Brett and Brett puts the pressure on him to sign people for apartments. Kim’s out to prove himself. He’s confident of getting Colleen to buy, but for some reason Josie tries to talk him out of it. When Kim looks at a file on her table, she gets all secretive. She’s hiding something. Brett sorts through the stuff dug up at the caravan site. He finds a file marked ‘Hayley Lawson’: Paternity results’. It doesn’t mean anything to him. He puts it aside, where it lies innocently… a ticking time bomb.
