Extended Summary

Ari and Mackenzie run through the water down on the beach. Mackenzie notes she’s missed them spending time together. Ari is sorry that he has to work so much overtime but they still don’t know how long Gemma’s away for and there’s been no word from Tane. Ari is dismissive of his brother, saying he always bails when things get tough. Colby comes along and gets only a curt greeting. Meanwhile, Justin is playing peek-a-boo with Grace when Tori arrives home. She confirms that she’s filed the AVO but still feels sorry for Jasmine and also guilty for missing the signs that she was struggling. She determines to make sure Jasmine has support in place.

At the Parata house, Ari is on the phone to the landlords, asking for more time to get the rent together. He tells Mackenzie they’ve got twenty-four hours or they’ll be evicted. Nikau arrives home and Ari tells him he spoke to the real estate people but doesn’t give many details. Ari says he’s going to mow the lawn and Nikau offers to help. Mackenzie goes in the shower and Ari asks Nikau what he really wants to talk about. Outside the Diner flat, Colby finds Bella looking round expectantly. He tells her that Nikau was there earlier while she was asleep and seemed to think she was avoiding him because of what Colby had said. Bella admits she’s been thinking about what he said about what ended up happening when she pushed things with Nikau before.

In the Paratas’ garden, Nikau explains to Ari that Colby obviously hates him and he’s worried it’s affecting Bella’s opinion. Ari wonders if Nikau should stay away from her and Nikau points out Ari’s sleeping with Colby’s ex. Ari accepts that and suggests Bella might not like Nikau as much as he likes her if she’s letting Colby affect things, telling him to find out. Bella is waiting outside the bait shop when Nikau arrives. He says that if she wants to cool things because of what Colby said, she should let him know.

Jasmine looks through her messages at the beach house, saying she can’t even remember sending all the texts to Tori. Tori arrives and Jasmine apologises but Tori says she’s not there to talk about that: She’s brought round a mental health plan for Jasmine. Shortly after, Tori is suggesting Jasmine see a grief counsellor and says there are numbers and website details in the paperwork she’s given her. Jasmine asks if she can see Grace if she does but Tori says it can’t be about Grace. Irene and Willow see her out. Irene suggests Jasmine call the numbers now but Jasmine says she wants to read through it first and suggests she and Willow need to go the gym, where Willow has arranged cover.

At Salt, Ari comments to Mackenzie on Nikau coming to him for advice. He gets a text from work saying there’s been a delay, meaning no overtime. Mackenzie offers to give him a loan to cover the rent but Ari declines. Down on the wharf, Bella approaches Nikau and says she was scared because of what happened last time they were together: She wants to be with him but only if they take things really slow. Nikau says he only wanted to watch a movie last night and is happy to take things slow. He asks if holding hands is okay and Bella agrees.

Jasmine and Willow approach the surf club, where the other gym staff are running a class outside. Jasmine is considering Tori’s suggestion. Colby approaches and Jasmine apologises to him. Colby asks to go to her place or for a walk, but when she refuses he serves her the AVO there: It lasts twelve months, bans her from going near Tori or Grace, and requires her to appear in court at a certain date. Jasmine asks when Tori organised it and Colby says she came to the station first thing. Jasmine walks away. Willow and Colby go to the gym; Willow is annoyed with Tori but Colby helps her accept that Tori needed to set boundaries for Jasmine. Willow worries that this will push Jasmine over the edge.

At the Morgan house, Tori is telling Justin that her meeting with Jasmine went well, when Jasmine storms in, angry about the AVO. Justin tells her she can’t be there. Jasmine accuses Tori of only doing the mental health plan to ease her conscience and says Tori has officially taken everything she wanted away from her. Tori goes to the Diner and tells Irene what happened. She says she can’t check on Jasmine because it would be a mixed message so asks Irene to do so. Meanwhile, Jasmine sits in her room, looking at the family photo album of her, Robbo and Grace.

Bella and Nikau are playing in the Paratas’ pool. Ari comes out on the phone and tells Nikau that someone’s paid their rent. He checks everything’s okay between the pair then says he has to go out. Nikau notes he has some spare money now so Bella suggests they go go-karting in Yabbie Creek. Ari goes to Salt and accuses Mackenzie of paying the rent, saying he doesn’t need charity from a rich girlfriend. Mackenzie tells him to get over himself.

Irene arrives home and calls out to Jasmine but finds her room empty and a letter left behind. In it, Jasmine says she’s sorry for leaving this way but there’s nothing left for her in Summer Bay.
