Extended Summary

Brody and Ziggy flirt – she’s captivated by his sheer zest for life after getting Salt back. He plans on throwing an epic relaunch today. He wants Ziggy’s entire family there. Ziggy confides in Maggie that she’s in love with Brody but doesn’t know what to do about Jarrod, admitting that she accepted his invitation to go to the Salt launch party together. Ziggy realises that she needs to be brave and end things with Jarrod. Brody makes sure that the Astonis are well looked after at the launch party, despite Ziggy’s plus one. Ziggy asks Brody not to give up on her, assuring him that she’s going to fix things and be straight with Jarrod, because she indeed wants to be with Brody instead. Ziggy stays true to her word, confessing to Jarrod that although she forgives him, nothing is ever going to happen between them, they’re over.

Kat remains subdued, supported by Ash, Justin and Tori…none of them aware Robbo is hiding out close by. Justin makes a pointed remark about Robbo, intended for Tori’s benefit. She privately has a go at Justin, who still believes she should inform the cops about the address Robbo gave her. Tori struggles with her dilemma. Kat asks for space, and is stunned when Robbo suddenly appears. He begs for a chance to be heard, desperate for her to accept that Beckett Reid isn’t who he is. Robbo risked coming back to the Bay because he loves Kat and needs her to believe him. Ash and Tori fear the worst when they realise Kat has disappeared. Justin and John are heading out of the Surf Club, shocked when they spot Kat and Robbo together. She calms the situation, explaining that the cops are on their way – Robbo is handing himself in. The cops appear. Kat can only watch on as the man she loves is roughly taken away. McCarthy orders her to make a statement, and distance herself from Robbo. Ash and Tori rush to the police station to check on Kat. She reassures them, but it is evident this is taking a high emotional toll upon her. Ash riles up when he spots Robbo, and offers him a spray for being such a dog. Kat is reluctantly granted a final goodbye with Robbo…it’s painful for them both. She doesn’t understand why he didn’t just disappear? Robbo felt this was the only way to prove he is not Reid. They fantasise about the life they might have led, Robbo tells Kat about the cottage he was preparing for them and the baby. Robbo pleads with Kat to just walk away and forget about him. Tori and Ash head to the Salt relaunch party believing the Robbo situation is finally over. But Kat messages Tori to meet up, and demands the address that Robbo gave her. Tori obliges, and hands it over, apologising for not doing so earlier.

Hunter has decided today is the day he proposes to Olivia. With Brody’s big party plans in place, Hunter asks if he can hijack things a little. With Mason and Alf’s help, Hunter gets prepared. When Irene learns about the proposal, she warns Olivia. What on earth is she going to do? Olivia hesitates, but insists she intends to say yes. When Ziggy also gets wind of this news, she demands that Olivia finally tell Hunter about her betrayal. Olivia refuses, but Ziggy gives her some much needed advice. Will she get through to her? Olivia heads to the beach, which Hunter has decorated spectacularly. He begins his heartfelt speech…Olivia grows increasingly uneasy, something feels wrong. The video of the locals is played…and it is suddenly all too much for Olivia – she can’t marry him! She flees, leaving behind a shocked Summer Bay, and a devastated Hunter.
