Extended Summary
With Dexter back in the city, Jai tries to rekindle his romance with Annie, despite Kirsty believing that he should steer clear for a while and let Annie sort through her feelings. Despite Annie admitting to Xavier that she’s avoiding Jai, she eventually chats with her ex-boyfriend and tells him that she’d like for them to be friends.
Jai is panicked when he accidentally breaks the camera Belle gave to Annie. Unsure how to break the news, Jai talks to Xavier but is astounded when they discover Brendan has fixed the camera. Later, Jai returns the camera to Annie and tells her he borrowed it to upload some photos to the website he’s created for her. However, Annie is less than pleased and when Jai tells her they’re meant to be together, she storms off.
In an attempt to busy himself and try to take his mind off Belle’s death, Aden helps Martha out on the farm. As they get talking, Martha tells him that he needs to open up and let people in if he is to overcome his grief at Belle’s death. She also adds that although Belle is gone, he is still here and still has to live his life. Later, Aden collapses and breaks down in tears as Martha comforts him.
Rachel and Tony’s relationship continues to be strained and Rachel finds herself confiding in new friend Andy about her parenting problems with Harry. When Tony announces he has football training, Rachel offers to spend the evening with Andy as she’ll be alone and he happily accepts his friend’s offer.
