Kirsty tells Miles about her pregnancy. A gulf emerges between Tony and Rachel. Jai finds out about Annie and Dexter.
Extended Summary
Miles tells Leah that he confronted Kirsty over her suspicions that Kirsty was having an affair and admits he doesn’t know where their relationship goes from here. The next day, Kirsty confronts Leah over what she saw and is amazed that Leah ran straight to Miles instead of talking to her first.
Jai is concerned about Miles and Kirsty’s relationship and tells Alf of his worries. Alf insists that Jai shouldn’t worry too much and that the young couple will sort through their problems and come out of things stronger than ever. Later, while taking out the rubbish, Jai is shocked to find a pregnancy test box. Jai tells Miles of his findings and Miles confronts Kirsty, who admits she’s pregnant and that’s what she was talking to Justin about when Leah saw them together. Kirsty adds that just as her life is coming together, she falls pregnant and isn’t sure if she wants to keep the baby.
The budding romance between Annie and Dexter is heating up, but Annie is worried about hurting Jai when he finds out she’s moved on with someone else. Meanwhile, Jai tells Xavier he’s creating a website for Annie to show her how much she means to him – in much the same way Dexter made her the photo album. Jai’s even got a keyring he’s going to get engraved with the name of the website. Later, when Jai goes to give the keyring to Annie, Jai is heartbroken to catch Annie and Dexter in an intimate embrace.
Following Harry’s kidnapping, Rachel is still on edge and Tony can’t help but feel that something is amiss between them. He confides in Alf his concerns and Alf is certain that they’ll sort through their problems and are probably just going through a bit of a rough patch. Alf then enlists Tony’s help in assisting with the local rugby team.
At the Surf Club, Rachel attends the local mother’s group meeting and supports local father Andy when he wants to join the group. Later, Rachel and another mother Laura clash over their personal beliefs about a medical approach when raising children. Both feeling like they’re outsiders, Rachel and Andy begin to form a bond of friendship. Later, Rachel is less than impressed when she learns about Tony’s involvement with the rugby team and Tony snaps, feeling as though he can’t do a thing right.
