Has Rachel jilted Tony? Roman tells Elliot the truth about his brother. Will Martha’s baby be okay?

Extended Summary

It’s the day of Tony and Rachel’s wedding but the bride has disappeared – and seems to have taken a suitcase with her. A desperate search ensues but despite even the police getting involved Rachel is nowhere to be found. Tony wonders if Rachel’s psych patient, Jimmy, has anything to do with this. But Jimmy’s story seems to check out and he even gives them some useful information – he saw her the night before, loading a bag into her car.

When Leah and Martha find some emails in Rachel’s account from Hugh saying he wants to see her, Tony’s distress deepens. Rachel being with Hugh seems to be the only possible explanation for her absence. When she still hasn’t turned up as the congregation is gathering for the ceremony, Tony is left with no choice but to call the wedding off. Pale and shaken, Tony takes off in his car to get away from any reminders of Rachel, leaving a helpless Jack to watch him drive away and ponder the question – where is Rachel?

Roman gets a nasty shock when he arrives home to find Elliot waiting for him – having let himself in with his own key. Elliot wants to know the truth about what happened to his brother, Mark. However, when Roman breaks the news to him that Mark wasn’t the big hero Elliot thought he was, it is not what he wants to hear and Elliot accuses Roman of lying. Roman explains that the unit told a different story at the tribunal so that Mark would be remembered as a hero. The truth is that Mark actually surrendered to the enemy under the intense pressures of war. Angry at this revelation, Elliot lunges at Roman and after a tussle Roman manages to get him out the door. But he’s not convinced Elliot will let this one drop.

Meanwhile, Martha hasn’t been feeling well all day and that evening, admits to Jack that she is scared for the baby. Jack is worried sick as the couple gets ready to go to the hospital. Could this tragic day have a far more tragic end?
