Morag issues Josie with a stunning ultimatum as she confronts her about her 1989 secret. Diesel’s obsession with Sally takes a violent turn. Martha schemes to sabotage the resort.
Extended Summary
Ric wins free tickets to a rock concert as part of a radio competition. It’s going to be his and Cassie’s first official date. Diesel comes for a tutorial with Sally. Cassie asks him about Matilda and he reveals he likes someone else. Sally’s forgotten about the tutorial and has errands to run. They postpone it until the afternoon.
Tasha’s discouraged about the chances of stopping the development so Robbie takes her for breakfast at the Diner to cheer her up. They meet Martha who says that with only three days until the van park is demolished, they’ve got to do something. Robbie and Tasha are undecided, but finally Tasha says they have no other choice. Martha reveals she’s got a great plan… but won’t divulge it…
Josie has a go at Martha for her stunt with the bulldozers. Alf steps in and calls Josie to account. Why is she alienating her self from the town? She’s got the power to make a difference – why doesn’t she? Josie can’t answer.
Morag has found out everything about Josie’s 1989 secret from the ex-cop Jim Wallace. He reveals that Marc came snooping around and paid him for the same information not long ago. Morag visits Josie at home to tell her she’s talked to Jim and knows everything. Josie claims it’s a lie but Morag gives her all the details – basically that back when she was working as a Madam, she accidentally killed a man in defending herself against him. Jim the cop helped cover it up. Josie is speechless in the face of the truth. She’s in serious trouble.
Flynn comes home at lunch and Diesel struggles into the house with bruising. He claims to have been bashed. Flynn says he’ll take care of him, and Diesel seems disappointed that Sally’s not back. Flynn questions him about his bruises and the attackers. Everything Diesel says is a bit suss, but Flynn holds back. Diesel’s happy when Sally arrives and says she’ll treat him. He’s happy to have her hands on him. Flynn tells Sally there’s something about Diesel’s story that doesn’t add up. But as the tutorial goes on, it becomes clear that Diesel is becoming more and more infatuated with Sally.
Morag wants Josie and the resort gone from Summer Bay. She has until first thing the next morning to make a decision. Josie calls her mystery friend Jay for help but he’s no use. The next morning she tells Morag she can’t go. She wishes she could say why, be she can’t. Morag is pitiless – she has to go to the police. Josie is breaking down.
