Extended Summary
Hayley takes Scott on a surprise boat ride on the Blaxland to get him physically comfortable with her again. He’s funny at first, but as the day goes on Hayley assures Scott that he has as much right to her body as the baby does and she wants him to touch her… desperately! Hayley’s words hit home and he starts to get more comfy. The couple is at ease together again and back in love.
Leah accuses Josie of ruining Jesse’s life, but Josie says Jesse did the same thing with her, flaunting his relationship with Martha – besides it’s all much more ‘complicated’ than Leah understands. Leah quizzes her but Josie backs off. Beth hears Jesse might be getting the boot from the Surf Club. She’s interested in being the third partner now her job at the school’s under threat.
Morag has found out the details of the development and it’s huge. Alf’s furious. If that thing comes to Summer Bay, it’s goodbye to the place as they know it.
Kim comes from a meeting with Josie and lies to Tasha about where he’s been. The size of the resort gives him second thoughts. But Josie makes a massive financial offer and Kim caves in. Tasha and Robbie are protesting outside the Resort office when Kim and Josie pull up. What’s he doing there? Kim just keeps going in. The others are reeling. He knows he’s in for a rough ride. The protestors get violent. The police break it up. Tasha confronts Kim and he says he’s doing it for his baby. Tasha is outraged. Josie tries to get back in her good books but Tasha is cold with her. Josie lets her have it. Tasha’s taken aback by the ferocity of the affect but tries to remain above it.
Peter’s upset that he was so incompetent during the time of the Stalker, but Dan says he got the Stalker in the end and that’s all that matters. Sally thanks him for saving her life. Peter and Clare are finally together and tragedy strikes. Clare’s been offered a promotion to the city. She won’t take it if it means leaving him. Peter says he’ll apply for a transfer. Peter announces that he’s leaving the Bay with Clare. There’s disappointment. Everyone says their goodbyes to Clare.
Josie has a go at Morag for investigating her, but Morag says she should never have messed with her family. Josie and Kim are chatting about the resort, when a Molotov cocktail comes flying through the door. Kim rushes to put it out. Josie is left absolutely shaken by the attack.
