Extended Summary
Peter draws up a list of suspects for Marc’s murder and Josie is at the top. He calls her in for questioning and outlines all the reasons she’s connected to Marc’s death. She’s furious and demands to know what’s going on. Peter has to tell her; Marc was murdered. Josie is stunned but says unless Peter has the evidence to charge, she’s going. Peter has to let her go, but warns her not to tell anyone about the murder.

Alf decides to speak to Jesse about Martha, much to Jesse’s annoyance. Jesse makes it clear it’s nothing serious – they’re just enjoying hanging out. But Alf is still worried so he broaches the subject with Martha who assures him that she can look after herself. Morag is ropeable that Josie spoke to Martha so harshly earlier on. She confronts her and gives her a serve. But Josie gives right back with all she’s got. Things are left very tense.
Peter’s gut instinct is telling him that Josie’s not responsible for Marc’s murder. He decides to start from scratch and go through all the evidence, and that’s when he finds it. The time on Marc’s watch stopped at 4.15pm after he struggled with his murderer; the timer was set at 4.20pm; the bomb was discovered at 4.30pm. It means Marc couldn’t have set the bomb. He was set up! At that moment, Const. Adams comes in with a letter that reads, “You won’t be so lucky next time”. Peter is stunned. The Stalker is still out there!
