Extended Summary
Cassie is sitting on the beach crying when Flynn jogs past and calls out. She quickly covers and hurries off, leaving a curious Flynn. But Cassie has composed herself and headed back to school where explains to Ric that she’s just not ready for physical stuff with him yet. Ric understands. The two of them seem back on track, but Cassie’s still hiding something.
When the lunch between Hyde, Beth and Irene finishes, Irene still doesn’t get the chance to give her present to Hyde. She relays her disappointment to Hayley who’s bubbling at the thought of her special date with Scott later in the day.
Flynn reveals to Ric that he saw Cassie crying on the beach. Ric confronts Cassie at the Surf Club and demands to know what’s wrong with her. Cassie says it’s got nothing to do with him and he needs to get off her back. She walks out. Ric goes home and outlays his frustrations to Sally and Flynn. He needs to do something. Over at the Surf Club, Cassie sits on her own in silence – away in another world. A lullaby plays through her head. It’s all very eerie.
Peter’s questioning how Marc knew how to make the bomb. It’s not something most people know how to do! And we see Peter’s right to question because the gloved hands are making another letter. The Stalker’s still alive! Sally thinks it’s sad that Marc was able to pass away without anyone being upset – no matter how crazy he is. She questions whether Marc had a motive for being the Stalker.
Hayley and Scott head off to the beach for a romantic picnic, but are interrupted by Zoe and Kim who don’t have anything to do for the day. Hayley and Scott are too polite to say it’s a private affair. Zoe and Kim keep getting in the way until finally Scott tells Kim their space is being cramped. Kim is about to rectify it, when they find out that Hayley has lost her wedding ring. They start a search but Hayley calls it off early. Back at the house, Scott asks Hayley if she’s okay. Hayley stuns him when she says she freaked out because she wasn’t ready to say goodbye to that part of her life, but now she has Scott…she’s ready.
Irene finally gives Hyde his gift. It’s a keyring and asks him to put a key to her house on it. She wants him to move in. Hyde asks Kim what he thinks. Kim’s has hesitations, but is cool. Hyde decides he’ll move in! Alf arrives at the Beach house with a huge grin on his face; he’s found Hayley’s ring! Hayley hesitates before putting it back on her finger. She stuns Scott when she decides not to. A part of her will always love Noah, but her life is with Scott now. They share a kiss.
At the police station, Peter is shocked to learn that Marc’s death was caused by a blow to the back of the head – not the car accident. The accident was staged. Marc was murdered!
