Extended Summary

Theo runs into Remi near the beach. Remi wonders if Theo’s work worries are over. Theo admits it’s hard to get away from them when he lives with his boss. Remi heads up to Salt to get breakfast for him and Bree. Theo comes acros Tane, who is still trying to call Harper. Theo reminds Tane he was meant to be at the court with Perri and Tane confirms he should be. At the hospital, Dana settles Harper in a cubicle and tries to reassure her. Bree sees them and starts to come over but Dana intercepts her, saying she’s not going to let her treat her sister when she’s had no sleep and to go home.

Justin arrives at the Diner and tells Leah that Theo is on his way. (Leah won’t serve him until he’s spoken to him.) Theo arrives and says he went for a surf in case Justin wanted him to work an extra shift. Justin apologises for that and assures him he’s not still angry with him. Theo has been trying to call Perri but he hasn’t answered. Justin gets a text from Claudia wanting him to pick her up but tells Theo it’s not something he has to worry about.

Dana tells Harper the on-call obstetrician will be down to examine her but it’s probably nothing to worry about. Harper gets a call from Tane but ignores it, saying he needs to be there for Perri. At the surf club, Tane asks Alf if he’s seen Harper before calling her again. Dana points out Tane will keep calling if she’s just disappeared. Harper answers the phone and tells Tane she overslept. Dana snatches the phone from her and tells Tane that Harper’s in hospital and he needs to be there.

Bree arrives at the Lyrik house to be greeted by Remi. She is distracted and asks him for a hug. Remi suspects this is more than just a long day and asks her what happened. Bree just says that someone disagreed with her and she found it frustrating. Meanwhile, Tane turns up at the hospital. Harper is pleased to see him but doesn’t know what’s happening.

Justin meets Claudia in a park and asks where she’s been, saying he’s been waiting for twenty minutes. He says the arrangement can’t continue: He’s lying to his family and hasn’t been into work in days. Claudia accepts that but asks him not to end it now, since a client isn’t answering the door to his home delivery and has been struggling. Justin asks for the address.

Bree comes back from the bathroom and snappily asks Remi where her phone is. She is annoyed that he moved it to put it on charge. Remi tells her not to doubt herself. She agrees and calls the hospital to ask for an update on Harper. When she hears she still hasn’t been seen, she rushes out.

Harper, Dana and Tana are all fretting about the lack of a visit. Tane tries to get Dana to do the ultrasound but she says she isn’t qualified. Bree turns up and Tane is relieved to see her. She goes through to see Harper. At the Diner, Leah chats to Theo, who guesses that she told Justin to apologise. Remi comes in, commenting on Bree going back to work. Theo says he still doesn’t know what’s going on with Justin but he apologised. Remi helps himself to Theo’s chips until Theo orders a burger for him.

Dana assists Bree in setting up the ultrasound. The baby soon shows up on the screen and they hear the heartbeat. Tane is enthralled at his first sight of the baby. Later, Bree says the obstetrician will still have to check Harper over to make sure everything’s fine and will be able to explain better. Dana follows her out of the cubicle where Bree tells Dana not to undermine her authority again: Harper’s a patient, she’s a doctor and Dana’s a nurse.

Theo and Remi are walking through a park area. Theo sees Justin and Claudia getting out of his car some distance away and sends Remi on ahead. Claudia tells Justin that she’s arranged for someone to pick her up. She asks if he’s willing to continue with their arrangement. Justin admits he hasn’t told Leah about it, explaining she’s still upset at Claudia having a go at Theo, but has seen her job’s important and agrees. Claudia leaves in another car, Theo continuing to watch from a distance.

Some time later, Justin turns up at the Diner and comments to Leah that he wonders if he’s doing enough, given that fixing cars isn’t exactly saving lives. Theo turns up and asks Justin what he’s been doing. Justin says he’s been at work and that he finished early because he didn’t have any distractions.

Dana approaches Remi outside the surf club, asking how Bree’s been. Remi realises Dana was the one that had a go at her. Bree listens from around the corner as Remi tells Dana she was out of line, before admitting he’s been keeping an eye on Bree since she spoke to him but not seen anything. Dana says there’s something seriously wrong with her. Bree reveals she’s there.

Tane and Harper arrive back at the beach house. Tane is gushing about seeing the baby and the fact they’re going to be parents. He gets a call from Rose and is shocked by what she says, asking about Perri. He tells Harper that Carl was found not guilty.

Bree walks through a park in a trancelike state. Remi runs after her and says Dana’s just worried about her. Bree asks Remi if he thinks there’s something wrong with her. Remi looks awkward and Bree sarcastically thanks him for his support before walking away.
