Extended Summary

Felicity and Rory are in bed, with her trying to convince him to stay there instead of going to meet the Boys. She eventually goes to get some breakfast and encounters Cash, thanking him for being okay with Rory staying over the last few nights. Cash says it’s all right. Felicity knows it isn’t but thanks him for pretending. Cash asks about her plans for her day off and she comments on Rory being busy. Rory emerges as Cash gets a call from Rose and heads off to meet her. Felicity suggests she and Rory forget breakfast and go back to bed.

At the surf club, Rose asks Cash why he couldn’t talk over the phone. She explains the sergeant has seconded her and other officers to Mangrove River for the afternoon, leaving a skeleton crew at Yabbie Creek. Mali comes in and eavesdrops as Cash explains they’ve got a warrant to search the River Boys’ hideout: They think Dingo was involved in the murder of Franklin McGrath and didn’t act alone.

At the farm house, Levi re-enters the living room and Mackenzie apologises for her joke, before saying they do deserve to be happy. Levi worries that he’ll spend the rest of his life feeling guilty like his dad. Mackenzie says Jimmy left his kids as well as his wife but Levi says it doesn’t matter how many people you hurt, you feel guilty all the time. Mackenzie sharply suggests they break up and he goes back to Imogen if he’s going to feel bad all the time with her, before walking out.

Cash turns up at the Lyrik house and tells Eden he needs a favour: He wants her to keep an eye on Felicity today and stop her going near Rory or Mangrove River. Later, Cash listens in as Eden proposes a girls’ day to Felicity, suggesting shopping or just going to the pub. Felicity is hoping to see Rory in the afternoon but Eden says it’s been a long time since it was just the two of them. Felicity agrees and Cash says he’s heading into work. When he gets there, he’s greeted by Joanna, who says she wasn’t sure about him coming there but forensics came back on Dingo’s car and they’ve found traces of Franklin’s blood.

Mali sits in his vehicle by the beach with the bag on the seat next to him. He takes a toolbox out of the back and cuts through the padlock, before unzipping the bag. In it, he finds Franklin’s wallet with ID, his police badge and a crowbar wrapped in a blood-soaked towel. At the station, Cash greets Rose and the other officers before preparing a briefing. He tells them about Dingo and gets Joanna to hand out copies of his rap sheet.

Felicity and Eden have just finished a swim and Eden suggests going to the pub in Yabbie Creek. She comments on Felicity missing Rory, pointing out she hasn’t been with him for long. Felicity says Cash is making an effort with him now and she felt the same when she first met Tane. Mali approaches looking for Rory and Felicity suggests calling him. Mali does.

Rory is at the River Boy hangout and Mali tells him about Dingo giving him the bag to look after and that he knows what’s in it and doesn’t want to be involved. Rory says he’ll sort it. He approaches Dingo and sends away the girl with him, before telling him he meant him to bury the bag or put it in the ocean, not leave it with a random. Dingo thinks it was safer with Dean’s mate than in a dumpster. Rory backhands him and decides to handle it himself.

Felicity and Eden arrive at Salt. Felicity warmly greets Mackenzie, while Eden is polite and they exchange jokes about double shifts. After Mackenzie has moved away, Felicity calls Eden mature and Eden says she still needs to pay the rent. While Felicity is checking their order, Levi comes in and nods at Eden, who gives him an awkward wave. Levi apologises to Mackenzie, saying he’s not doubting their relationship. Mackenzie suggests him and Eden being in the same place and nothing happening is progress.

Downstairs, Rory finds Mali’s board shop closed. Felicity and Eden come down and Felicity and Rory greet each other. Rory says he doesn’t have plans and suggests they go back to hers. Eden tries to put her off. Felicity mentions Mali was looking for Rory and Eden suggests Rory try his place but Rory says it’s not important. He and Felicity leave. Eden leaves Cash a message saying they have a problem.

Cash briefs the officers on the layout of the River Boys’ hideout and Joanna says they need to make the warrant count. Cash refers them to photos of Dingo’s associates. Rose notices Rory among them and privately approaches Cash, wondering if he’s too close. Cash says they all are, before saying Rory has no place in Felicity’s life. The two of them exchange a glance as the group leave in bulletproof vests.

Mali turns up at the River Boys’ hideout with the bag and is pointed towards Dingo. Dingo asks if Rory found him. Mali throws the bag at him, saying he’s not taking it. At that moment, the police turn up. Cash tells everyone to stay where they are and that they have a warrant to search the place in relation to Franklin McGrath’s murder. Dingo initially holds his hands up, then grabs the bag and dives through a window. Cash chases him and another car cuts him off, with him surrendering. Rose is sorting out the others when Joanna brings Mali out and wonders why he’s there.

Eden is hovering outside Felicity and Rory’s bedroom. She quickly retreats to the couch when the pair come out. Felicity sees her and Eden says she was waiting for Cash. Rory returns to the bedroom and texts Mali again. Felicity tries to get Eden to go back to her own house but Eden keeps making excuses to stay, saying Remi and Bree are there. Felicity realises Cash told Eden to babysit her.

Mali and the River Boys are being kept under guard as Joanna searches their things. Cash hands Dingo over to Rose and gives the bag to Joanna. Dingo and Mali look on as Joanna finds the crowbar and Franklin’s badge. Cash tells Dingo he’s under arrest for murder. Dingo asks about Mali. After an awkward pause, Rose says he’ll be taken in for questioning. Cash asks Dingo where Rory is.
