Extended Summary

Cash and Eden are walking on the beach. Cash suggests they go for a drive somewhere, knowing she’s worried about Levi. Eden retorts that it’s Imogen she’s worried about, not Levi, and she worries that he’s chickened out of telling her, because she thinks Imogen would have been straight on the phone to her if she knew. Cash asks if this takes her mind off things and kisses her. John, who has been putting up flags nearby and is now sat in his buggy, tells them to get a room. Meanwhile, Dana wakes up and slowly realises she’s in Xander’s bed with him asleep next to her. She quickly gathers up her jacket, trousers and shoes and quietly slips away.

Down on the beach, John greets Tane but only gets an abrupt response. In a park area, Harper tells Irene about Tane’s court date in five weeks time. They see Dana heading in the opposite direction. Irene notes she thought Dana was working, since she didn’t come home, but she’s not in uniform. The penny slowly drops for them both and Irene wonders if she had a hot date last night. They greet Dana but she only returns the greeting briefly as she powers on past them.

At the Newman house, Felicity comments to Cash and Eden about Cash not being at work for once. She checks the stalker really has been caught. Cash says there was a lot of evidence at his house. Eden says there was some scary stuff before wondering if she’s meant to mention that. Cash says she isn’t but tells Felicity he had a gun collection. He’ll contact the agency in a few days but is happy for the time off. Felicity comments on Mackenzie still being off work: She’s not sure if she’s gone away or just hiding out at home. After Felicity has gone, Cash puts a new proposal to Eden: They have a shower and then lunch, on condition she doesn’t mention Levi.

At the surf club, Felicity greets Tane and asks how he is. Tane sarcastically says fine apart from the kidnapping charge, before apologising and saying he’s got a lot on. After Tane’s gone, John tells Felicity he’s been extra cranky today. Felicity hopes he’s all right. At the Diner, Irene guesses Harper is going to the surf club and says to give her love to Tane. Dana rushes in and says it’s a matter of life and death, then hides behind the counter as Xander comes in. Xander asks Harper if she’s seen Dana, and Harper says she hasn’t. Xander leaves and Irene tells Dana she can get up now. Harper asks Dana if this is to do with what happened last night.

Cash and Eden are walking along the road. Cash says he hasn’t known Eden to be quiet for this long. Eden says she’s only got one thing on her mind and he won’t let her talk about it, before wondering how Levi could do this to Imogen and admitting she feels like she’s betraying her by keeping quiet. At that moment, a car pulls up in front of them and Stevie gets out the back. Cash is surprised to see her since the stalker’s still behind bars. Stevie suggests they talk about why she’s there over a drink.

On the veranda at the Diner, Dana has filled in Harper. Harper thinks this is a good thing since Dana likes Xander. Dana admits she does but calls it a really really bad thing. Harper suggests first times are always like that until you get used to each other. Dana puts her straight: The bed part of it was amazing but she had to get out of there fast and left her phone behind, so asks Harper to get it for her since she can’t afford a new one. Harper tells her she’s a big girl and to figure it out herself.

At Salt, Felicity asks Xander if he’s all right, since he’s just put alcohol in a virgin mary. Xander says he’s fine. They look over at where Stevie is sitting with Cash and Eden. Xander is surprised Stevie looks like she does in the movies, since he thought it was make-up and filters. He takes the drinks over and tells Stevie she was amazing in Death Throes and he had nightmares for days. He checks she’s okay with people taking photos. After he’s gone, Stevie explains she wants Cash to stay on her security details. Eden points out the stalker’s on remand until his trial but Stevie still wants someone on her team.

Downstairs, Harper asks John if he’s seen Tane. John says he’s taking a class on the beach but warns her he’s likely to bite her head off. Tane comes in and Harper tries to talk to him. Tane says he’s going to prison and talking won’t help. At the Diner, Dana has turned her attention to Irene who thinks she should just talk to Xander. Irene eventually agrees to go and get the phone but only if she can call Xander first and let him know. Dana asks her not to and Irene asks what’s going on between Dana and Xander. John appears in time to hear the last bit and also wants to know.

Eden joins Cash on the balcony and wonders what he’s thinking about Stevie’s offer. She says it must be better than being unemployed or walking around an empty mall. Cash wonders if Stevie sent Eden to convince her and Eden says Stevie just wondered where he was leaning. Cash admits he’s tempted and Eden says she’d been fine if he took it.

Cash and Eden exit the surf club where Stevie is among a crowd of fans. Cash goes over and tells Stevie he’ll have to turn her down: He’d accept in different circumstances but Eden needs him at the moment. Stevie says not to say goodbye, just “see you later”, in case circumstances change. As she is driven off, Cash goes back to Eden and tells her he turned down the job.

Dana has filled in Irene and John. Irene says she thought Dana liked Xander. Dana says this is like repeating the same thing over and over again: Xander told her he wanted to be friends, then they ended up in bed and now she’s telling them about it. Irene suggests things have changed but Dana says she’s just making the same mistakes and went over because they were fighting. John suggests Xander might be as confused as her and Irene agrees but Dana still refuses to talk to him.

At Salt, Harper asks Xander if he’s caught up with Dana. When she pushes the point, Xander realises she knows. Harper tells her about Dana leaving her phone behind and being too scared to ask for it back. Xander thanks her for the heads-up. After he’s gone, Felicity asks Harper about Tane. Harper tells her about the court date.

Felicity approaches Tane as he leaves the gym and asks to catch up later, saying she heard about his court date. Tane says he doesn’t need her pity. Felicity says she’s just trying to offer support. Tane thanks her but reminds her he’s not her problem anymore. Meanwhile, Dana knocks on the door of the Diner flat, then calls out that she’s not breaking in because the door’s unlocked. She goes to the bedroom and finds her phone under the bed. Xander, who’s suddenly in the doorway, asks if he can help her.

Tane arrives back at the surf club to find Felicity outside the gym. She says she doesn’t consider him a problem and will keep pestering him until he talks to her. Tane gives in and sits down with her. He says that his lawyer’s told him that he’ll get a lighter sentence if he shows remorse, but the truth is he doesn’t regret it. He admits he thinks he’s going to prison for a long time and is scared.
