Extended Summary

Phoebe is distraught about Justin’s decision to break up with her and leaves the Morgan House in tears.

Alf questions Roo about the pregnancy, but Roo avoids the conversation.

At the Police Station, Kat reports that Scarlett’s house in South Australia has been found empty. She puts Stevenson onto the hire car’s GPS tracking system.

Phoebe confides in Kat and Ash, she doesn’t understand Justin, they’re engaged! Kat suggests long distance but Ash agrees with Justin, long distance isn’t guaranteed to work.

An upset Justin asks a concerned Tori to leave him alone.

Marilyn drops by to walk to work with Roo, but Roo is clearly trying to get out of the house quietly to avoid having the pregnancy discussion with Alf. Alf comes downstairs looking the worst for wear, just missing the ladies on their way out.

Kat, Ash and Luc bring breakfast to Phoebe, who realises she needs to think about her future. Stevenson calls with an update on the case.

Kat and Stevenson find the hire car and its driver: Scarlett Snow.

At the Diner, Roo tells Marilyn she doesn’t want Alf judging her about the pregnancy. Alf arrives and Roo hides behind the counter. Marilyn covers for Roo, badly. Alf wonders why Roo hasn’t told him about it, he’d support her no matter what. At this, Roo jumps up from behind the counter, delighted.

Scarlett tells Kat she thinks the crazy guy that carjacked her was on drugs. Kat still wants to search the car and house, and Scarlett needs to give a formal statement at the Station. Scarlett agrees to do so, but it’s clear she’d rather not.

At the Surf Club, Zannis demands more money from Brody for the drugs. Tori comes by and asks if Brody’s okay, he looks off.

Justin catches Phoebe at the beach, but he hasn’t changed his mind and Phoebe can’t understand his decision. Justin is worried Phoebe will ruin her life waiting for him, he doesn’t want to hold her back. They’re both distraught.

At the Station, Scarlett says she was too scared to get a good look at the perp’s face. Scarlett surprises Kat with her knowledge of the Crimes Act and accuses Kat of trying to stall her. Kat and Stevenson find traffic camera footage of the incident and Scarlett’s story checks out, but Brody Morgan is clearly visible as the perp.

At Salt, Tori is pleased to see that Brody appears to be feeling better. Then Kat arrives to arrest Brody on suspicion of vandalism.

At the Police Station, Scarlett says she’s not sure if Brody is the guy that carjacked her. Tori rushes in, telling Kat Brody couldn’t possible have committed any crimes. Kat presents the evidence to Tori and asks if Brody could have been on something. Tori thought Brody was past this. Kat questions whether it could have been ice and this gives Tori pause for thought. She makes a call to Pathology.

Roo is relieved Alf supports her decision to go through with the pregnancy. He’s with her every step and he’s going to run the Mayvers’ contract past Morag. Alf begins coughing and Roo urges him to see a doctor.

Ash offers words of comfort to Phoebe. As she gets into the car to leave, Justin rocks up and she begs him to ask her to stay. He can’t. Phoebe hands back her engagement ring and they kiss goodbye. Phoebe drives off, leaving a sad Justin.

Tori has organised for Raffy to go to a friend’s for a few days. Before Raffy goes Tori hands her back her necklace, lying about where she found it.

After speaking with Tori, Justin confronts Brody about taking ice and throws him out of the house.
