Hugo and Martha meet Brendan’s girlfriend. Palmer’s battle against Hugo goes up a notch. Miles is not happy to discover Liam has moved to Summer Bay. Romeo helps Jai.
Extended Summary
After learning that Romeo has scored himself a job, Miles is taken by surprise when it emerges Liam has hired Romeo to restore the restaurant. Miles offers to help Liam set up his new place and the pair soon open up to each other, with Liam admitting that he’s trying to turn over a new leaf. However, after learning what happened between Liam and Nicole following Belle’s funeral, Miles suggests that Liam keep well clear of Nicole. Later, Liam confides in Romeo about using drugs in his past.
Exhausted as they care for their newborn son, Rachael and Tony accept Hugo’s offer to babysit Harry while the couple enjoy an indulgent and relaxing night out together. However, as the evening progresses, neither one is able to keep baby Harry out of their minds.
Jai enlists Romeo’s help in landing him a girlfriend. Following Romeo’s lead, Jai is introduced to a girl at the Diner who says her name is Phoebe. After a brief exchange, Jai is lucky enough to score the girl’s number and wastes no time in showing Romeo the results of his short chat.
Alf crosses paths with John Palmer and the two men have a heated exchange about John’s opposition to Hugo’s proposal of a man-made reef. As John bad mouths the planned reef to anyone who will listen, Martha comes forward to defend her boyfriend’s idea and tells of the benefits to the town in the way of tourism and increased revenue. While Hugo and Martha battle to prove that the man-made reef is a good idea, Brendan is beyond thrilled when his girlfriend Ruby finally arrives in town for a visit.
