***

BEACH
Jesse is stressed out about Flynn and Leah looking couple-ish, and Leah tries to tell him not to be so ridiculous – it’s all about the baby. It doesn’t stop Jesse feeling jealous and left out – “it’s like you’re having this great party, and I’m not invited”. She promises that one day they’ll have their own “little party”, and VJ will have little brothers and sisters. All they have to do is get through the next four months.

SCHOOL
Jade starts by sticking her nose up and staring blankly ahead as Kirsty tries to convince her that she didn’t say anything to Hyde – he just got suss when he saw her sleeping bag and is making random guesses. Jade is snappy, wanting to know why Hyde would have threatened to expel her if he didn’t know anything. Kirsty points out that as he didn’t mention the lock-in, he’s obviously bluffing. Seb backs Kirsty – they’d already have been punished if Hyde had anything on them, and Kirsty states that she wouldn’t have bothered putting any work into it if she was just going to blab to Hyde at the first opportunity. Jade reluctantly apologises, blaming it on she being ‘jumpy’. Kirsty has decided to do the lock-in, despite her pregnancy and the fact that Kane is due home from the charter that evening. She decides that telling Kane he’s going to be a father is going to have to wait until the end of the lock-in. Jade, having got it into her head that this is somehow her business, puts more pressure on her to come clean to Kane about her lies, and Kirsty says she will, in a tone that screams ‘I’m just saying this to shut you up’. It doesn’t work. Jade once again tells her that she MUST tell Kane EVERYTHING. Like she doesn’t already know.

DINER
Flynn and Sally chat over a coffee and they marvel over Jesse’s insinuation that there was something going on. Flynn wonders if he should keep his distance, but they both agree that it’s a bit hard seeing as she’s having his baby.
Alf comes across to borrow Flynn’s medical ear to discuss Floss – he’s in a quandry over what to do, and Flynn can only reassert his position and tell Alf that he only does what he believes in. Alf doesn’t reckon it’s that simple.

SCHOOL
Robbie cheerily tells Jade that he’s having a copy of the school gate keys made, and that no one is going to get into the school. Jade goes into another strop when she discovers Robbie wants to do the right thing by Rhys, Beth and Irene instead of doing the lock-in and tries to convince him to ignore the fact that he is grounded. Robbie tries to calm her down – he did all the technical do-da, but she isn’t listening, and storms off. Kim works out that Irene knows about the car and is concerned that Robbie may have landed him in it. But no fear, the ringleader is safe and Robbie is taking the rap for it all.

SURGERY
Floss is disappointed that Flynn hadn’t invited her over because he had changed his mind, but realises that he’s been talking to Alf. Flynn tries to inform her of the position she has put Alf in – especially as he cares about her so much. Floss thinks Alf would be more up to the task anyway, seeing as he has seen death several time before in his life. She does have a plan if Alf doesn’t agree, but refuses to tell Flynn – she’s going to tell Alf “when he says yes”. If he backs out, then she’s prepared to move onto the next person. He can’t take away her right to decide how, and when, she dies.

DINER
Leah puts her foot in it by apologising to Sally about “that whole Jesse thing”, as Sally is put out that Flynn hasn’t mentioned Jesse’s insinuations to her. She puts on a brave face.
Floss walks huffily into the kitchen to have words with Alf. She didn’t appreciate him running to “Dr DoGood”, but Alf had already made up his mind – he can’t do it. She is unimpressed and disappointed that he has backed down – she doesn’t want to die slowly.

FLYNN’S PLACE
Sally brings up the subject of Jesse with Flynn, and Flynn calmly explains the sitution, still sounding pretty surprised that anyone could have jumped to the conclusion that he and Leah were attracted to one another. Sally can’t understand how he neglected to tell her, and how such a big thing could have simply slipped his mind. Despite them laughing off the idea, Sally is tense and jumpy, excusing herself to go into work to do some marking.

RANDOM PLACE NEAR THE BEACH
Kim is trying to blame everyone but himself for all the trouble HE caused, managing to make it Hyde’s fault – if he had lent him his car, then there would have been no need to take Irene’s, they wouldn’t have crashed and Robbie wouldn’t be grounded. Robbie decides to attend the lock-in after all, as he has got to keep an eye on Tasha anyway. He’s not going to pass up the chance to “combat the forces of evil”

BREAK

SCHOOL
Sally discovers Kirsty sat alone in one of the classrooms, and congratulates her on the news… Kirsty is still pretty taken aback by it all, and she hasn’t had the chance to tell Kane yet. Sally twigs that something is up, and Kirsty casually tells Sally that Jade has banned her from the lock-in… before realising her mistake. Sally wonders what is going on when Kirsty backtracks before making a quick getaway

Jade is furious that Robbie’s copy of the gate key doesn’t work, and is reluctant to change the plan… there doesn’t seem to be much hope – Hyde checks the school before he leaves and the cleaners aren’t in until the following day. Robbie comes up with another plan – when Hyde is locking up, they must distract him before he can lock the gate – and then the kids will run into the school once his back is turned. They just need some kind of distraction… Robbie spots Henry break-dancing not far away, and Max watching.

BEACH
Flynn and Floss bump into one another, with she looking worse for wear, tired after a walk. She knows that he’s only trying to help by not helping, and Flynn mentions that he spoke to Alf. She wryly states that assassins in Cambodia only charge two dollars – it’d be quick, and she’d get a holiday. Flynn has made her an appointment with an oncologist – just an examination to find out how long Floss has. Floss is unenthusiastic – she’s fed up of being poked and prodded, but she’s too tired to argue back and agrees to think about it.

SCHOOL
Jade explains the new plan to Seb – they have to wait until Hyde is with Max and Henry, make sure he doesn’t lock up, and slip into the school. For some reason, Seb isn’t too convinced, and Kirsty arrives bearing yet more bad news for the rebels – Sally knows. Predicatably, Jade does her block. Again. Sally arrives to class, and gives them a talk about how important the year is for them. She knows pupils have grievances with Hyde, but she asks them to leave it for the department to deal with instead of stuffing up their future unnecessarily.

FLYNN’S PLACE
Jesse arrives with a peace offering for Flynn – six beers in an odd blue box. They clear the air, with Jesse shouldering the blame for his insecurities. Flynn thanks Jesse sincerely for what he and Leah are doing for them, but Jesse excuses himself from an early morning jog in the morning – he has an early start. Jesse decides to get back to work, having had just the one sip of beer, and leaving the bottle with Flynn. He manages to stir up the hornets nest again by telling Flynn he just can’t see what is going on between he and Leah. Flynn protests as they crash back to square one, but Jesse is totally convinced that there is something going on.

SCHOOL
After Sally’s talk, Seb is trying to encourage Jade to give up on the idea of the lock in and let the department deal with Hyde – after all, they’re talking expulsion if they go through with the idea. Hyde floats past, giving them one of his ‘looks’. A random girl comes to ask Jade whether they’re still going ahead, and Jade says yes, telling Seb that he can do what he wants – but she’s not backing down.

After school hours, Jade lurks behind a bush watching the school gates as Kirsty rocks up. Jade is horrified – what about Kane and the baby? Kirsty assures Jade she WILL tell Kane, and the baby’s fine. Seb alerts them that Hyde and Sally are leaving, and a message travels between various people hidden behind trees, and Kim talks into his phone – “Elvis has left the building”. No one else seems to see him. Hyde starts to chain the gates, and Jade panics – Max and henry still haven’t appeared. Just in the nick of time, Henry comes racing up to Hyde – Max has fallen, he’s in pain, and Henry reckons he has broken something. Aborting the idea of locking up, Hyde follows Henry. As soon as they’re out of sight, the message is given to ‘go’, and Kim makes some odd hand gestures that Robbie doesn’t ‘get’ for a while. A herd of pupils emerge and rush towards the gates. Once inside, Jade puts the new chain and padlock on, and a cheer goes up from the students, ecstatic to be in school over the weekend.

SURGERY
Max has been checked over and emerges from the surgery with Hyde by his side. Sally and Flynn stare after them, confused as to what it was all about. Sally comments that something has been going on all day, before heading for the shower. Flynn is confused by her tone of voice, and wonders if everything is alright – especially as she did a runner at lunch time. She tells him that she believes him about the whole Jesse thing, but she is still weirded out that he never mentioned anything to her. She is getting paranoid, and Flynn blames the closeness as being purely down to the fact that they’ree having a baby – all four of them. Flynn is taken aback when she question whether he is attracted to Leah, and doesn’t give a straight answer – appreantly because he shouldn’t have to, as she should know the answer. He senses that she doesn’t trust him, and walks out on her.

SCHOOL
Jade explains the sitution to her followers – they sit tight over the weekend to get their parents riled up, and not until Monday do they hit people with their demands.

SURGERY
Dr Flynn has seen VJ at short notice, and Leah is appreciative. Flynn finds inflamed tonsils and will be prescribing VJ with some painkillers for the next couple of months. You’re never too young to suffer in Summer Bay. Leah wants to see Sally to have a girly chat about paint colours, but she is out. Leah is aware that Jesse came over earlier and as Leah hands over a lolly to Flynn, in the hope that he can open it when neither she or VJ can, Flynn mentions that Jesse is still ‘hung up’ about them – and now Sally is joining in. they debate keeping their distance, despite nothing actually going on, and their hands linger as he hands her the prescription for VJ. She hurridely leaves, with him looking thoughtfully after her…
