Will Brody get the quiet bucks night that he’s asked for? Does Ziggy have cold feet? Willow and Dean get kicked out of the caravan park.
Extended Summary
Hunter and Olivia run into each other on the beach. Olivia notes she has nearly finished the wedding dress and they discuss plans for the stag and hen parties. They observe that it feels weird that it isn’t weird to be walking about weddings. Nearby, Brody and Ziggy are walking. Both say they’re happy with sedate celebrations that evening. Brody only agreed to the bucks party because Justin and Mason promised a quiet one. At the caravan park, Willow arrives back to find Dean’s caravan trashed (the canopy has somehow ended up draped over one side) and Dean sleeping outside on the mattress. Dean can’t really remember how any of it happened and has bruised knuckles. Willow says she spent the night with Colby at the hospital but there’s no change. She also tells him Robbo’s been arrested: She saw a forensics team at the flat.
At the surf club, Coco approaches Mason and Hunter, with her and Mason addressing each other as “matron of honour” and “best man”. Coco says she has hen party games planned; the boys initially think it’s a euphemism, then realise it isn’t and do their best to assure her that that’s fine. Justin comes in with a poker table and Mason helps him take it upstairs. Brody stops them but they tell him they’re just planning beer and poker: No nightclubs, no paintballing, no tigers. Brody allows it, so long as he doesn’t end up tied to an electric pole.
At the farm house, Maggie and Coco set up the food and decorations. Coco is starting to worry that it’s a bit low key. Olivia turns up with the wedding dress and Coco points her towards a photo collage, that includes one of her and Hunter with Ziggy. Ziggy joins them and Olivia tells her to try the dress before the party starts if she’s going to so it doesn’t get wine spilled down it. Ziggy says it’s not going to be that sort of party and tells a deflated Coco they’re not going to make wedding dresses out of toilet paper. Maggie gets a text from Marilyn, saying she can’t make it because of a “family thing”. Coco suggests the guys’ party might not be as quiet as they think.
Willow comes back to Dean with an icepack that she borrowed from the neighbours, who also said he was playing loud music in the early hours of the morning. She is hoping to get cleaned up before Alf sees but then Alf comes along. Pointing out that they can’t fix it with no jobs, he tells them both to clear out. Dean protests that it was nothing to do with Willow but Alf says if she stays then Dean will be hanging around. Later, at Salt, Alf, Justin, Ben, Brody, Mason and Hunter play poker, with Alf beating Brody with a full house. Brody, somewhat tipsy, says he’s already a winner since he’s got Ziggy, recalling hot girls only used to approach him to ask for Justin’s number. Justin says he’s proud of Brody for turning his life around and making the rest of them look like losers. Ben notes he’s nervous about the waltz and Brody says he is too, nearly recruiting Alf to help him practise. Justin proposes a toast to the couple.
Coco hands out pieces of paper; Ziggy has vetoed all her games but she wants them to write down what they most like about Brody and Ziggy. Maggie says they’re partners in crime and lucky to have found each other, mentioning her own shotgun wedding, and says they’ll have beautiful children. (Ziggy specifies in a thousand years.) Olivia babbles about how lucky Ziggy is to have found someone forever and not have to endure any more bad first dates. They drink a toast to forever that makes Ziggy look uncomfortable. Meanwhile, Willow is packing up her things. Dean tries to say it’s not her fault but Willow says she’s broke, unemployed and homeless, and to blame for all of them. She predicts having to sleep on the beach or in Dean’s car. She convinces Dean to go and visit Colby.
Coco quietly apologises to Ziggy for the lame party. Ziggy, somewhat irritably, says it’s fine and indicates she’s not looking forward to the wedding, then says to forget about it. Later, Maggie is looking tired and Ziggy suggests calling it a night. However, Maggie convinces Olivia to take Ziggy out for the night. Maggie and Coco discuss what Ziggy said earlier. At Salt, Brody folds the latest hand. A policewoman comes in and says there’s been a report of illegal gambling. Hunter and Mason exchange knowing looks as the “policewoman” sits Brody down in a chair, tells him he’s been bad and strips down to a basque. Brody protests that he said no exotic dancers but Mason says Danielle is an “interrogation specialist”. Alf excuses himself, while Ben starts filming it for blackmail purposes.
Dean meets Willow at the Diner; she has her bags in the toilet and suggests they could hide and spend the night there. Dean has another idea; he heard the police talking at the hospital and it looks like Robbo’s not coming home any time soon. They head up to the flat, ignoring the crime scene tape, and ponder whether Colby might let them stay on if they keep the place tidy. However, they decide to leave the cleaning until the morning and head to the bedroom first.
Danielle continues to cavort around a semi-naked and slightly scared Brody. Ziggy and Olivia come in and Brody protests that it’s not his fault. However, Ziggy just laughs and starts filming him herself, relieving Ben who was running out of memory. Later, most of the group are sat chatting. Brody ends up throwing up over Ben’s shirt. Hunter, who was just leaving, remarks to Olivia that last time he got that drunk he bought her an engagement ring. Next minute, they are kissing downstairs. Since Jasmine is at Olivia’s place and everyone is at Hunter’s (including Ryder who he shares a room with), they go into the office, where they start undressing and collapse onto the couch.
Ben and Ziggy arrive home and are met by Maggie. Ben makes a joke that the vomit smell will last forever like the marriage but Ziggy reacts badly so Maggie sends Ben in the shower. She tries to assure Ziggy that it’s normal to be nervous before a wedding but Ziggy says she’s utterly terrified and not sure if she can go through with it.
