Episode 7122

Extended Summary

Ben, Maggie and Coco walk near the beach. Ben and Maggie wonder where Ziggy went off to so early but Coco doesn’t give anything away. They make plans to go to a Japanese restaurant in the evening before Coco goes back but both Ben and Maggie have to work until then. Coco says she’s going to meet Raffy and Ryder and go for a swim. Bella is on the balcony of the Diner flat and sees Coco. She tells Colby she’s going to go and see her. Colby tries to protest that she was meant to be having a reset and questions her about her homework, eventually settling for telling her to not be too long.

Dean and Ziggy are lying together in his caravan with Dean commenting on Ziggy being in his bed. Ziggy wonders if this means they’re “a thing”. They decide they will see where it goes but Dean insists he needs to tell Ben first. At the surf club, Justin is buying some board wax from Ben. He makes another attempt to clear the air but Ben just tells him not to miss the surf. Brody comes in and tells Ben (with Willow in earshot nearby) that he just saw Dean and Ziggy all over each other. Ben says it’s none of Brody’s business and points out the irony of Brody worrying about Ziggy getting hurt. Justin ends up steering Brody away. Brody insists he’s worried about Ziggy but Justin tells him it’s not his place anymore and he needs to let her go and concentrate on the Salt sale.

Coco and Bella are at the Diner together with Coco commenting with amusement on Bella stowing away in Ziggy’s car. Bella asks about Ziggy and Dean but Coco dodges. She invites Bella to join her, Raffy and Ryder but Bella doesn’t want to intrude. Irene approaches Bella and asks where Colby is. Bella says she doesn’t care and, when Colby comes in, accuses him of following her and storms out. Irene suggests to Colby that Bella needs a stricter approach. Willow calls Colby saying they need to meet and talk. They meet up at the flat where Willow reveals Dean and Ziggy are together. She notices Colby doesn’t seem surprised; Colby says they had a moment in the bush but he wasn’t sure if it was more than that. Bella comes in looking for her headphones and they fill her in. Bella doesn’t seem affected and accepts their suggestion of going out together, after getting her headphones.

Ziggy and Dean approach the surf club; Ziggy offers to talk to Ben but Dean maintains that he has to. They see Ben heading towards the beach with his surf board. After a bit of small talk, Dean tells him that he and Ziggy are together, adding that they should have told him earlier but they had things to sort out. Ben tells them that Brody saw them and let him know. To their surprise, he simply tells Dean to call up about an order. He heads down to the beach with Ziggy following. She tells him not to give Dean a hard time like he did Brody, even though he turned out to be right about that in the end. Ben says he wishes he hadn’t been and accepts it’s Ziggy’s choice. Ziggy says they’re not labelling what they have.

Colby and Bella are on the balcony of Salt but Bella isn’t in the mood for conversation, only giving brief answers and listening to her headphones. Dean appears, on the phone arranging the order. Colby sends Bella to get them a table and tells Dean that he knows about him and Ziggy. He isn’t sure how Bella feels about it but he thinks Dean should talk to Willow. Dean finds Willow clearing up after a class. She initially tries to avoid the subject but eventually reminds him that he promised he’d tell her before starting a relationship. Dean says that he didn’t plan it, it just happened. Willow tells him she wants him to be happy. Dean suggests the two of them, Colby and Bella hang out some time but she seems noncomittal.

At the Diner, Irene and Maggie chat about Dean and Ziggy going on the rally. Ben turns up and privately confirms to Maggie that Dean and Ziggy are together, repeating their comment about not labelling it. He tells her it’s their choice even though Maggie is worried they’re moving too fast. Meanwhile, Justin has taken Brody back to the Morgan house and gets him a beer. They have just finished signing the contracts to sell Salt. Brody is still worried about Ziggy but Justin tells him he needs to put some distance between them.

Coco and Bella run into each other near the Diner where Coco is due to meet Maggie. Bella wonders how Maggie feels about Dean and Ziggy being together. Coco says that might be what Dean wants but Ziggy told her it was just a holiday fling, a bit of a fun. Near the surf club, Dean is collecting the order while Ziggy chats to him about the fact she hasn’t heard from Maggie even though Ben would have told her. Ben arrives and thanks Dean for his work, sending Ziggy home and telling Dean he trusts him to do the right thing by Ziggy. He adds that if Maggie has an issue she’ll let him know.

Maggie and Ziggy are helping Coco pack. After Coco has gone to her room to fetch her iPad, Maggie tells Ziggy she respects her choice over Dean but thinks it may be too soon after Brody. Ziggy admits the timing is poor but says Dean isn’t like anyone she’s ever dated and she doesn’t want her marriage to make her put up walls. Coco comes back in and is pleased to hear Ziggy is with Dean after all. Meanwhile, Simone joins Brody at the Morgan house, saying there are no nearby properties in their price range so they may have to wait and save. He tells her about the Salt sale and says he’s arranged a flight to Melbourne for them to look at the place in Yarra Valley, which he agrees is perfect. He explains something Justin said has convinced him he needs to move away.

Bella finds Willow and tells her they have to warn Dean that Ziggy is using him, since she just wants a fling to get over Brody. Willow is disbelieving and refuses to act, saying she’s going to respect Dean’s choices. She convinces Bella to come back to work with her after which she’ll walk her home. At the Diner, Colby admits to Irene that he’s lost Bella again and she isn’t answering his calls. Irene asks him what it’s all about. Colby says she’s angry at him, worried about Dean and struggling at school. Irene says it’s the damage her dad did and offers herself as a friendly ear. She also says Bella was with Coco so they might have gone to the surf club.

At the surf club, Dean and Ziggy are reflecting on the fact that Ben and Maggie both seem to accept them. Bella comes marching over and tells Dean that Ziggy’s just using him to move on from Brody, which Coco told her. Ziggy says she did say something along those lines but things are different now. Bella continues to insist she doesn’t deserve him, Willow, Colby and Alf all appear to try and calm things down, and Bella pushes Colby away, telling him to stop trying to control her. Colby attempts to drag Bella outside and she picks up a pool ball and hits him with it. Looking horrified, she lets the ball fall from her hand and runs out. Dean goes after her. Colby puts his hand to the wound and finds blood there.
