Rachel and Tony struggle with Baby Harry’s disappearance. Hugo is arrested by Angelo. Aden agrees to work on the illegal abalone racket.
Extended Summary
Rachel is horrified to learn from Hugo and Martha that baby Harry has been kidnapped. While Charlie questions Hugo and Martha about the details surrounding Harry’s disappearance, Rachel is adamant that Jane is the one who has kidnapped him and demands Charlie go and visit Jane and her husband Rex. Later, Rachel is upset with herself for leaving Harry. She knew something like this was going to happen and she blames herself for her son’s disappearance. When Rachel starts to worry about what might happen to Harry, Tony snaps and insists that he will not lose another son.
Charlie pays Rex a visit and he admits that while Jane did hang around Rachel’s house, she wouldn’t have stolen baby Harry. Jane arrives home and agrees to go to the police station with Charlie for a chat about Harry’s disappearance. During her interview, Jane admits that visiting Rachel was a poor decision and goes on to describe the pain of losing a child. After the interview, Charlie orders 24 hours surveillance on both Rex and Jane. Later, Charlie informs a devastated Rachel and Tony that while they’re continuing their investigation, they can’t prove that Jane or Rex kidnapped Harry. Meanwhile, baby Harry is left alone in an abandoned house.
Having stolen the keys to the boat shed in the belief that Hugo is connected to the illegal abalone operation, Angelo feels vindicated when he discovers thousands of dollars worth of abalone. Believing that he’s finally nailed Hugo, Angelo prepares a search warrant.
When Gibbsy demands payment from Hugo within the hour, Hugo is left with no option but to go to Angelo with the truth. He and Martha head to the boat shed and as Hugo places a call to the police, they’re caught by Angelo and Hugo is arrested. At the police station, Hugo protests his innocence but Angelo refuses to listen. When Hugo brings up the anonymous tip-off about Gibbsy, Martha tells Angelo there’s a security camera at the surf club that covers the payphone. Angelo checks over the CCTV footage and learns that Hugo is telling the truth.
Aden is struggling to cope in the wake of Belle’s death and asks Gibbsy for some extra work as he needs to keep himself busy. Later that night, an inebriated Aden has a go at Alf before Gibbsy comes in and offers him a shift on the boat that night. Aden accepts Gibbsy’s offer and joins him on the trawler later that evening for another illegal abalone dive.
