Extended Summary
Cassie is furious when she hears that Matilda was at the beach with Jason and seven other guys the night before. Anything could have happened. Matilda doesn’t care. Cassie offloads to Hayley and Hayley reassures her that Matilda will come to her senses. Don’t give up.
Matilda’s flirting big time with Callan. Ric tries to warn her off but Matilda tells him to rack off. Ric tries to warn Callan away as well, but Callan says he can’t help what Matilda wants. Hayley tries to talk some sense into Matilda tells her to keep out of it! Ric asks Cassie to try to talk her round. Cassie goes to Matilda and the two of them have an argument before Matilda realizes she doesn’t want to lose her as a friend. Cassie’s pleased she’s finally managed to get through.
Matilda is being harassed by Jason and his mates when Callan walks in and scares them off. Matilda’s attraction to the guy is growing and the two of them are hanging out. Callan invites her to the Magic Dirt concert and she accepts.
Diesel is now the star pupil in Sally’s class. When he moves out of class he forgets his book and Henry picks it up to take it to him, then he sees a photo of Sally. A confused Henry asks Diesel why he’s got a photo of Sally. Caught out, Diesel reveals that he likes Sally and Sally likes him. Henry is incredulous and disbelieving, but Diesel talks him around. Could it be true?
Henry goes to Ric and asks if Diesel’s been acting weird around Sally. Ric says no weirder than usual. Henry takes the photo of Sally out and looks at it, but is sprung by Dan. What’s he doing with it? Meanwhile Sally is having a private tutorial with Diesel when he leans forward and kisses her. She’s shocked. He says they can keep it quiet. Dan comes in and demands to know what’s going on. Sally explains everything and Dan wants to tell Hyde, but Sally says she can sort it out. She doesn’t want Diesel getting into trouble.
Diesel goes to Summer Bay House and tries to continue the charade but Sally lets him know his feelings aren’t reciprocated. He misinterpreted everything she did. Diesel is shattered. He runs from the room. Sally tells Flynn everything and he too thinks she should tell Hyde, but once again Sally says she can handle it alone, Diesel’s just upset, but he’ll understand… But down at the beach, Diesels eyes are red from tears as he burns his picture of Sally. Clearly he’s not that understanding…
