Extended Summary
Kim rushes over to Zoe’s van to find her missing and blood on the floor. He runs to Flynn’s house and they call Peter. They race back to the van, calling out for Zoe. The Stalker watches from a distance. Clare turns up with other police as Kim goes into shock. Harper finds a tick tock card and they realise it’s the work of the Stalker. Colleen starts to get hysterical and Kim shouts at her to shut up. Ashamed of his outburst, he walks off. Flynn wants to know why the Stalker targeted Zoe. Clare thinks it’s because Peter wanted to hypnotise her. They take Kim down to the station for questioning but he can’t provide them with any more answers – only that Zoe obviously knew the person who attacked her.
Morag, Alf and Martha discuss the return of the Macklin Corporation. They developed the Sands resort back in the 80s. Alf thinks if Brett’s coming back a development’s involved. Morag visits Brett and he plays innocent. He says he’s decided to get to know his daughter, so why not mix business with pleasure? Martha’s surprised to hear this, but also wants to meet him. Brett apologises for the way he treated her when she tried to meet him last time. He’s realised the error of his ways 18 years ago. Also, he’s investigating building a resort. He won’t say where. Martha hits it off with Brett more and more, but when he’s gone, Alf and Jesse reveal their dislike of the man. Morag tracks Brett down and demands the truth. Brett reveals he’s not going to manage the resort, he’s got someone else. Morag turns to find Josie smiling at her. She’s baaack…
Hayley and Scott are discussing the day-to-day details of the baby and it’s obviously starting to take its toll on Scott. Hayley’s worried. Scott admits that he wanted to be the father so badly, it felt like a kick in the guts when he wasn’t. Beth comforts him. Kim has a heated argument with Hyde after he tries to console him. Then he ends up breaking down in his arms. He thinks he’s lost Zoe for ever.
Clare’s still holding Peter responsibility for Zoe’s disappearance. She decides they need to make up a new timeline of events and go over every detail. As they do, Harper comes in and tells them the search of the caravan park revealed nothing. It’s like a kick in the guts for Peter. Clare doesn’t hold out much hope they’ll find her. We cut to a visual of the Stalker as his gloved hands start going through Zoe’s wallet…pulling out her licence and pinning it to a trophy wall. Zoe’s become the Stalker’s latest victim!
