Extended Summary

Theo and Chloe are driving in silence. Chloe tries to engage Theo in conversation but he doesn’t answer and turns the radio up. Chloe turns it back down again and he admits his dad’s turned up. Back at the Morgan house, Leah asks Dimitri about Cassandra and suggests the space will help, which he doesn’t exactly appreciate. Justin comes back in and says Theo isn’t picking up. Leah suggests calling Cassandra and says she didn’t say anything when they spoke. Dimitri takes this as a sign she interfered and heads out the back, with the two of them bickering as he goes. Justin convinces Leah to go and to let him speak to Dimitri.

At the farm house, Dean is assuring Bella that Chloe needed to go home but Bella thinks it’s more complicated than that. Nikau arrives and is pleased that Bella told Chloe to go. Bella protests that Chloe’s her friend. Dean and Nikau tell her she did nothing wrong. Meanwhile, Leah follows Irene into the Diner and manages to give her a precis of Dimitri turning up, his marriage breaking down and him wanting Theo to come home with him.

Chloe and Theo are sat eating in a park area. Chloe offers to talk about his dad but Theo invites her to explain what she was doing in the middle of nowhere instead. Chloe says Bella threw her out but dismisses it as a misunderstanding before saying Bella’s the one person who understands. Theo gives her a brief hug of comfort. She says she knows somewhere they can go. Meanwhile, Justin gives Dimitri a beer and says they all want him and Theo to get on better. Dimitri asks if Justin has children and, on hearing he has a daughter, says to come back to him when he has a son. Justin says he had trouble with Theo when he first turned up and Dimitri guesses Leah made excuses for him. He says Theo had his mother wrapped round his finger which is why he had to be hard on him. Justin suggests he stick around and do things differently.

Irene and Leah walk on the beach. Leah worries Dimitri is right but Irene says it takes more than one conversation to end a twenty year marriage. Leah gets a text from Justin asking her to come home. When she gets there, she finds Justin and Dimitri laughing and joking. She apologises to Dimitri, who decides to head back to the motel but says he’s not giving up on his family. Leah congratulates Justin on calming him down. Justin is a bit worried about Dimitri saying he came down hard on Theo. Leah decides to call Cassandra.

Dean tells Bella and Nikau that he’s going to have a shower and meet Ziggy for dinner, asking if they’re going to sit not talking to each other for the rest of the day. Bella says she’s never had anyone need her before. Nikau says he does but Bella replies that he loves her. Dean says friendships shouldn’t be hard but Bella points out that he’s done more for his friends, especially Colby. Meanwhile, Chloe has brought Theo back to her place, which is deserted. He suggests he should go but she tells him to stay. She kisses him and leads him to her bedroom.

Bella rejoins Dean and Nikau and wonders if she should call Chloe. Nikau thinks she’s fine. Bella asks Dean to go easy on Chloe if he sees her. Nikau suggests he go to get a change of clothes and a takeaway, after which they can watch a series together. Meanwhile, Chloe and Theo come back from the bedroom; Theo still has his shirt off. Chloe jokingly asks if they wrecked their friendship. Nikau walks in on them kissing and Theo leaves. Chloe says she was hurt and it was a mistake. Nikau softens towards her as she tearfully tells him she needs to see Bella.

Bella is surprised when Nikau turns up with Chloe. He goes to unpack his stuff, telling Bella that Chloe needs her. Chloe says she doesn’t want to make things worse by having Dean find her there. Bella says Dean’s just worried about Mia. Chloe tells her about sleeping with Theo, saying she wasn’t thinking straight and Bella hurt her. Meanwhile, Leah gets off the phone and tells Justin that Cassandra’s staying with friends while she sorts herself out. She says Cassandra said she’d been planning to leave Dimitri for years but stayed because of Theo and that there was something else that they should ask him about.

Next morning, Chloe writes in her diary that she said sleeping with Theo was a mistake even though she doesn’t regret it and Nikau fell for it. Dean comes in and asks what she’s doing. Chloe says she was putting thoughts down and Dean asks why she’s there. Chloe says she spoke with Bella and everything’s fine and she’s going to spend more time with Mia. Dean says he didn’t mean she can’t ever come over. Chloe offers to make breakfast. Meanwhile, Justin arrives at the garage, on the phone to Leah telling her not to worry about Theo staying out. He finds Theo asleep in one of the cars and wakes him.

Leah is sat on a bench and gets a text from Justin saying he’s found Theo. Dimitri turns up and Leah tells him Theo’s with Justin at the garage. Dimitri wants to meet him for breakfast. Leah says he’s busy but suggests she and Dimitri have breakfast instead. At the garage, Justin gets Theo a glass of water and asks how he ended up at there. Theo says it wasn’t planned. Justin asks if there’s anything they should know but Theo tells him to back off.
