Extended Summary

Dean sees Bella, Nikau and Chloe near the surf club and comments he’s surprised to see them given they got home late. Bella replies that it was only just after ten. Dean asks why they didn’t show up for Mia’s family meal, saying she turned up upset. Nikau says Chloe told him she was going to call Mia and change the night but Chloe says Nikau was supposed to call her. Dean tells Chloe to sort it out. Chloe says she’ll go home after breakfast. Near the bait shop, Roo is hosing down kayaks. Marilyn arrives and wonders if she needs help, since she’s at a loss on her day off. Roo suggests she go shopping or have a coffee. Marilyn tries to get Roo to join her, saying she misses having Grace to look after. She is pleased to get a text from Leah asking her to cover her shift.

Theo arrives back at the garage with the part and is surprised to find Ziggy there. She tells him to start on an oil change and doesn’t know what happened with Justin except that something came up. Justin arrives home and asks Leah what Dimitri said. Leah isn’t sure of Dimitri’s mood but is hoping he’s changed his mind about reconnecting with Theo. She doesn’t want Theo to know in case it was about something else. Dimitri will be there for lunch.

At the surf club, Nikau asks Chloe why she hasn’t gone to see Mia. Chloe says she’s going when she’s finished her breakfast. Bella offers to go with her but Mia declines and leaves. Bella tries to get Nikau to go easier on her. After Bella’s gone, Dean comes over and chats to Nikau about the situation. In fact, Chloe is only just outside, texting on her phone. Ziggy and Theo appear on their lunch break. Theo invites Chloe to have lunch with him and she says she’s got nothing else on.

Justin and Leah are putting everything together for lunch. Dimitri turns up and meets Justin for the first time but rather bluntly asks where they’re hiding Theo. At the surf club, Bella is trying to convince Nikau to let go of the tension with Chloe. Dean and Ziggy arrive with pizza and Nikau declines to join them. Bella is believing Chloe’s story and says she’s supporting her friend. Dean and Ziggy point out it’s causing trouble between Bella and Nikau and also between Chloe and Mia and she needs to establish boundaries. Dean offers to talk to Chloe but both Bella and Ziggy think that’s a bad idea and Bella says she’ll do it.

Roo arrives at the Diner and tries to talk to Marilyn but is stonewalled. Nearby, Theo points out to Chloe that he’s doing all the talking. He asks Marilyn what happened to Leah working. Marilyn says something came up, which he realises is the same as Justin. Chloe suggests they’re having a couples massage or preparing a surprise for him. Meanwhile, Justin, Leah and Dimitri have started eating. Leah is surprised Dimitri changed his mind but Dimitri assures her he’s there to build fences. Justin tells him about the apprenticeship. Dimitri says Theo needs to learn respect and is slightly sarcastic about Leah giving him parenting advice. Leah offers to call Theo but Dimitri wants to surprise him.

Marilyn chats to Chloe and Theo at the Diner, saying she’s happy to cover any of Chloe’s shifts. Bella arrives and is surprised to see Chloe there rather than with Mia. Chloe says she went home for a bit and they’re going to have a proper catch-up tomorrow. Theo heads off to work. Bella asks Chloe if she’s avoiding Mia, saying not to push her away. At the surf club, Dean thinks things have got out of hand. Ziggy tells him it’s not up to him to fix. She heads off to work as Nikau comes in. Dean asks him what’s going on. Nikau says Chloe’s always biting his head off so he’s going with the flow. He gets a call from Mia.

Theo tries to get information from Ziggy about what Justin and Leah are up to, wondering if they’re planning a surprise party for him. Ziggy suggests they’re doing what adults do when they get the house to themselves but is proved wrong when they turn up with Dimitri, who has a look around. Ziggy gives them space as Theo asks Dimitri why he’s there. Dimitri claims he was just having a bad day when he said he didn’t want to see Theo and asks to talk to him in private. Theo tries to make out he has work to do but Justin says it’s up to him so he agrees. They head back to the Morgan house where Dimitri is dismissive of Theo’s new life and encourages him to come home to the family business. He tries to demand respect but Theo reminds him he always said respect has to be earned. Dimitri says Theo’s mum isn’t there to protect him now, angrily saying she walked out on him. Theo is glad but still won’t come home. He walks out as Justin and Leah arrive back. Dimitri insists Theo has got worse while living with Leah.

At the surf club, Bella is telling Dean that her chat with Chloe went well. Dean tries to take the credit but Bella says it would have been a disaster if she’d left it to him. She heads down to the beach and brags to Nikau about sorting things out between Mia and Chloe. Nikau sarcastically predicts Chloe’s not going to hang out with Mia today and tells her that Mia told him she hasn’t spoken to Chloe all day, so Chloe lied.

Chloe arrives at the farm house to find Bella packing up her things. Bella explains she knows Chloe didn’t speak to Mia. Chloe accuses Bella of checking up on her and Bella replies that Chloe’s lying. Chloe accuses Bella of not being for there her and claims to have only told Bella what she wanted to hear. Dean steps in and Bella tells Chloe to go. Chloe declines Dean’s offer of a lift. Back at the Morgan house, Leah suggests Dimitri surprised Theo and Dimitri says Leah begged him to take Theo home. He accuses her of turning Theo against him and Cassandra as well, revealing she walked out on him two days after Leah left. He wants her to help him get his family back.

Theo is driving and comes across Chloe walking, pulling up next to her. She asks for a lift and he agrees, asking where they’re headed. Chloe says to get her as far away as possible and they drive off.
