Episode 6392

Extended Summary

Chris and Hannah have a romantic dinner when Phoebe interrupts them after hearing Ash’s confession. She tells them that Ash cheated on her much to Chris and Hannah’s surprise. After talking things over with Hannah, Ash arrives at the farm house to try and talk to Phoebe. He tells her that she’s the only woman he wants to be with. Despite his efforts to convince her of his love, she angrily orders him to go home. Finally alone in her room, Phoebe cries herself to sleep, heartbroken by Ash’s indiscretion.

Dylan and Kat take time out in his hotel room but Kat still wants to keep their secret liaisons under raps. She is worried about what the town may think and acknowledges that sooner or later, they have to get back to reality.

Matt is struggling at Angelos when a group of boys taunt him about the sex tape scandal. Josh and Evelyn try and lend support but it’s Maddy who encourages him to ignore them as Matt leaves with delivery orders. Once he leaves, Maddy finally takes a stand against the guys taunting Matt and asks them to leave. Josh and Evelyn come over as well to lend some support and they manage to get them out without starting a fight. Meanwhile, Matt has gone out on a pizza delivery and it turns out to be for Dylan. Dylan is obnoxious, telling him to keep the change to save it for his lawyer while Matt remains professional and doesn’t take Dylan’s bait. He’s clearly enjoys Matt’s torment and Kat is none the wiser. Back in the hotel room, Dylan tells her that he lied about selling the block of land that they used to own together years ago and he still has it. He asks her to consider getting back together and building a life. It would be their chance to build their dream home that they always talked about. Kat considers.

Reeling from Maddy having to stand up for him, Matt thinks it would be better if he quit Angelos. In the wake of him recently leaving uni, Maddy implores him to stay on and pushes him to think of what he really wants to do in life. He admits all he can think of is cars – he used to do them up with his dad. If he had the choice, that is what he would do with his life. This gives Maddy an idea.

The next morning, Billie catches up with Ash on the beach about any progress with reconciling with Phoebe when Hannah approaches. She says that Phoebe is not doing too well but discourages Ash from going around. On the contrary, Billie is adamant that now is the time to fight and encourages her brother not to give up. But Ash tells her to drop it, clearly angry at himself, then heads off home. Looking forlorn, the mysterious woman returns to Ash’s house to recover her necklace. She tells Ash that they never slept together and that nothing happened. Ash is quick to head to Phoebe’s place and divulge the news to her but Phoebe is quiet. Finally she tells Ash it still hurts – the fact they could both believe he was capable of cheating says something. They haven’t been good for a while, all the stuff with the garage, but really ever since the lies about Brax Phoebe has felt it’s been hard. She’s not sure they’re good together anymore. Phoebe tells Ash they are “broken” through tears and Ash gets it – they’re over.

Matt fills Maddy in on the dismal takings from last night at Angelo; obviously he’s scaring business away. Andy crosses with them and tells Matt he will consider offering a mechanics apprenticeship at the garage when he talks to Ash. Matt is initially confused, then Maddy reveals she asked Andy for a favour. Matt thanks Maddy for taking matters into her own hands to ask Andy for the job and is buoyed by the hope of a new career. Later Maddy & Matt are telling Evelyn and Josh about the possibly of Matt’s apprenticeship when they are again confronted by one of Matt’s tormenters. Evelyn and Josh are sick of this guy and the gang try to leave but the tormenter goes too far and provokes Matt with the suggestion that he would like to see a sex tape of Maddy. Matt loses it and punches the guy in the face, leaving Maddy furious.
