Extended Summary

The morning after the fundraiser, Phoebe catches up with Ricky on the beach noting that she didn’t hear from Ash last night. Ricky encourages her to make amends with him and Phoebe is positive that she will. A hung over Ash is coming to terms with his indiscretion from the night before when Billie arrives and he tells her that he thinks he cheated on Phoebe. Moments later, Phoebe arrives but luckily didn’t hear. Phoebe apologises to Ash who is left feeling guilty about his sordid night out on the town. Phoebe let’s Ash in on Hannah’s outburst from the night before and says it put things into perspective that people are dealing with much bigger things than they are. They kiss and make up, despite Ash’s guilt.

Chris is playing happy-go-lucky with Hannah suggesting a picnic but Hannah pulls him up – is he going to ignore her meltdown from the night before? Hannah is frustrated and tells him to go. Meanwhile Irene is beating herself up about Hannah and feeling responsible for causing the meltdown. Roo reassures her that its not her fault. Chris soon appears to let them know his picnic idea did not go down well with Hannah. Irene is determined to make it right and heads over to Hannah’s place, despite Chris’s hesitation.

As Ricky is visiting with Hannah, she asks if they can just pretend last night never happened. Ricky suggests maybe they go outdoors but Hannah is sick of everyone being pushy. Ricky assures her that’s not what she was trying to do. Irene turns up and apologises but Hannah tries to tell her that their experiences are entirely different. Irene insists they get up and go for a walk – she’s not taking no for an answer.

Billie complains to Ash that he shouldn’t have to cover for his indiscretions and asks him what happened. He says he doesn’t remember because he was so drunk but knows that a random girl came out of the bathroom this morning and that she must have stayed over. Billie advises him to re trace his steps to try and work out what happened. Ash heads back to the bar with few details to go on but luckily, the manager gets him the barmaid’s phone number.

Irene opens up to Hannah about her sexual abuse and loss of her baby to adoption. Hannah is inspired by Irene’s advice to take life head on and deal with the challenges. With fresh insight, Hannah arranges to meet up with Chris and asks for his help on an idea she has that may help her recover – actually it’s kind of his idea. She gets Ricky on board to do another artistic nude photoshoot. Afterwards, Hannah asks Ricky whether they can document each stage of the recovery and Ricky thinks it’s a brilliant idea. Reconciled, Chris opens up to Hannah that he has seriously considered their future and wants to travel and start a family one day with her. Cautious of possible rejection, Chris is pleased when Hannah tells him she feels the same.

Still hungover Ash is met by Alf who found some photos of Ash and his mysterious woman discarded on the beach. Ash covers saying its his cousin. Back at home, Ash is still none the wiser until he takes off his shirt and Billie sees some initials in a love heart on his back. And after an awkward conversation with Phoebe, Billie feels compromised. Alf however, runs into Phoebe at the diner and puts his foot in it telling Phoebe about Ash and his female “cousin”. Phoebe’s suspicions are aroused.

Ash is slowly piecing together the identity of his mysterious girl, with all things pointing to him having cheated. He finally gets a social media message from her causing Billie to insist he comes clean to Phoebe. When Ash and Phoebe meet at Angelo’s, Ash confesses to her that he thinks he may have slept with another woman. Stunned and heartbroken, Phoebe simply walks away…
