Episode 6390

Extended Summary

After locating Isla, Kyle tries to convince her to bring her children home to their dad. She insists if she does she will never see them again. However, Isla’s children are peacefully handed over to the police so they can be returned to Harry. Having driven an emotional Isla back to Summer Bay Kyle listens as she reflects on her fear that she won’t see her children again. But with the news that Harry isn’t pressing charges, Kyle suggests they instead head to Angelo’s for pizza and privacy. Angelo’s has voluntarily closed for the night in the hope that it will send more patrons to the fundraiser instead. Phoebe sees Isla and Kyle together and confronts him quietly about whether he should be hanging around her. Kyle sends a worried Phoebe away. Phoebe tries to tell Ash about her concerns for Kyle but Ash doesn’t see the problem with it and doesn’t really want to listen to Phoebe talking about Kyle, more interested in getting to the city to meet his mate who’s just got out of prison.

Hannah and Chris visit Nate for a checkup. Chris prepares to leave and get the fundraiser ready with arrangements for Nate to give Hannah a lift. Hannah expresses her fears to Nate that everyone will be staring at her. Nate assures her this is not the case but Hannah is not convinced. After dropping Hannah home, Nate does his best to encourage her to attend the fundraiser later but does not force it.

As the guests pile in to the fundraiser, Nate arrives to reveal to Chris that he doesn’t think Hannah will show. Irene heads to Hannah’s house to lend some support, since Irene has had a mastectomy herself. She lets Hannah know that going to her own fundraiser reassured her how much support she had from the town. While Hannah insists she doesn’t feel ready, Irene brings her around to the idea.

Fearing Hannah won’t show and now dismayed at Irene’s absence, a deflated Chris must soldier on as the host for the night and takes to the microphone to start the trivia questions when Hannah bravely arrives.

Ash has headed to the pub across town to meet his mate. When he realizes that he has been stood up, his disappointment about missing the fundraiser is short lived when a barmaid flirts with him.

Back at the fundraiser, people are busy at work on the trivia quiz but Hannah starts to become anxious once again that people are looking at her. While Phoebe is downloading to Ricky and Billie about her recent fight with Ash, Ash himself is busy chatting with the barmaid, who has now finished her shift. Ash knows he should go home but his new friend convinces him to stay.

At Angelo’s, Kyle wows Isla with some delicious pizza. She tells him he was right to convince her to return her kids and thanks him for giving her hope. As she leans her head on him sweetly- things heat up into a kiss.

Back at the fundraiser Chris announces Alf’s table as the trivia winners, much to Oscar’s disappointment. A somber Hannah tries to slip out unnoticed as Irene takes to the microphone. As Irene tries to publically assure her that they all understand what she is going through, Hannah snaps back that they do not understand. Much to the everyone’s dismay, she goes on to say that she had a perfectly healthy body and has butchered it, before walking out.

Ash awakes from the night before, back in his own bed. Just when he thinks he’s in the clear, the barmaid from the previous night returns to his room. As she blows him a kiss goodbye he struggles to piece together what happened. What has he done?
