Extended Summary

Matt is brought into the station for questioning regarding Charlotte’s murder. Leah informs Alf that things are much better with Zac before Alf receives a distressed phone call from Maddy at the police station. Alf and Leah immediately head to the police station and assure her it’s probably just routine in the wake of Zac’s exoneration. Maddy tells them about the sex tape scandal and Alf gets on the phone to Morag. Roo arrives to lend support. Matt is grilled about his relationship with Charlotte by Dylan, who suggests that perhaps Matt knew about the sex tape, then confronted Charlotte in a rage and shot her. He taunts him with the past, of his previous ATM robbery and troubled family history. Kat is torn about whether Dylan’s hardline approach is right. Alf gives Dylan a piece of his mind about dragging innocent people through the mud during the whole investigation. Now released from questioning, Matt seeks comfort from Maddy as he brings her up to speed on the police’s thoughts that he was involved. Maddy reassures him she knows he’s innocent.

Ash, Phoebe, Billie and Andy are at Angelo’s, brainstorming ways to support the Pink Hope fundraiser. Andy thinks Maddy may want to give a speech and Phoebe suggests Maddy should open the night, having survived cancer herself. Ash informs them that he won’t be going to the fundraiser as his mate “Donkey” will be getting out of prison and he will be hitting the town with him.

Kyle is desperately trying to reach Isla after she disappeared with her children. Ricky urges him to let it go but Kyle is persistent that he wants to help Isla. As Kyle closes up, an anxious Harry approaches him for any news on Isla and his children, but Kyle doesn’t have anything.

Kat talks to Kyle on the beach about Isla’s whereabouts. Kyle inquires whether Isla could avoid charges if she returns the kids. Kat reminds him to play it safe and not get involved. Seeing Leah in the distance Kat approaches her and tries to make amends. However, Leah is still not ready to repair their friendship.

Andy takes the time to check in with Matt about the sex tape scandal. When they recap on the time Matt threatened to expose Charlotte with the raunchy photos he had of her, they are overheard by Kat who confronts Matt.

Meanwhile on the beach Phoebe asks Maddy to come to the fundraiser and say a few words of support for Hannah. Maddy brings Phoebe up to speed about Matt’s current predicament. They are interrupted by Andy who brings some bad news – Matt has been taken to the police again.

Kyle is still trying to find Isla when she finally calls him back and tells him to stop trying to contact her. He pleads with her to hand herself in but she rebuffs him. Kyle uses his locator app to try and find her now that she’s turned her phone on. Ricky wants to call the police but Kyle urges her not to, as he wants to find Isla and convince her to come back of her own accord.

Grilled once more by Dylan, Matt is is accused of lying by omission for not telling them about the previous photos. Matt sticks to his guns, and reminds them, they have no proof that he is involved in Charlotte’s murder. Matt is released to a faithful Maddy and back at the diner, he worries that he will soon be charged with the murder.

Kyle is hot on Isla’s trail and buzzes the reception of the last place her phone pinpoints her at. Much to Kyle’s dismay, it appears to be a brothel. Kyle is about to leave when he sees Isla exiting down the back stairs. He confronts her but she tells him not to judge and turns to leave. Kyle isn’t giving in. He tells her to hand herself in and use the chance to make it right.
